It's so fun having a rooting interest again. Pure joy watching Oscar put that lap together. What a statement as Lando was building momentum.

Crazy that this is the first McLaren front row since Oz. With that long run into T1 it feels like a really good chance they could come together. I just watched the 2024 race start - Lando chopped hard from pole and actually pushed Max onto the grass, and George took the lead from 4th around the outside at t1, followed by Max and Lando.

I could see a bit of desperation from Lando here. I bet Max leads out of T1 one way or another, which would certainly make the rest of the race more interesting. But my exciting predictions never come true so I better just say it'll be a totally boring procession

It was crazy in 2023 when he came back to race so fast. And now to not let a reserve driver come in again, though maybe it cropped up real fast.

Kinda funny for a guy who outwardly doesn't seem that enthusiastic about being an F1 driver...but its probably just bitchy resting face

That's what I mean, Lance should have withdrawn before FP3 so that could happen. This news coming out within a few hours of the session indicates the issue didn't come as a complete surprise (or else they'd at least hold out until tomorrow to see how it was feeling)

Sometimes I wonder if the RB just actually just total ####, and if Max were put in any other car he'd be completely unbeatable.

I forget how much I hate Nico Rosburg, and then he starts talking and I remember how much he sucks.

Considering he skipped the weigh in and dropped out of the race I would say that indicates it was a complete surprise.
