He should be fired. His bench management, game strategy, and overall coaching is just crap. Sorry but that Dallas team is better on paper than Edmonton by a fair bit. Then you disrespect your star goalie in the first period of an elimination game. He has to be gone.

It’s baffling how DeBoer can be 9-0 in playoff game 7s and coach this poorly. Like, how?
I was holding out hope that Dallas could figure it out, even after game 4, until I heard DeBoer essentially say he told his team to not play physical because they aren’t built for that so they were gonna play their game instead. When their game got them in a 3-1 hole. You figure you should maybe make some changes??

He has no game strategy! How can he not have anyone to do me and my shadow with McDavid? I agree with you on Ottinger, the moment he pulled Otter, I know he is in panic mold. He is just a crappy coach.

Without ever really embraced the draft, which is the strongest card the organisation with our circumstances can play...the oilers even if they lost mcdavid, would likely sink further, draft high again, and be back in a similar position before us.
...that's the true darkness.
