Not sure if this is true, but if so, WWE kinda deserve it for booking this stupid nonsense in the first place.

Jonathan Coachman is claiming on Behind the Turnbuckle that he is hearing Travis Scott “flaked” on doing the tag team match with John Cena at Money in the Bank and he hasn’t been training with Booker T.

There were definitely multiple botches in that match. Both Jay and Cameron needed medical attention after the match. Bayne dropped Jay right on her face with her F5. Cameron may have a broken nose; not a safe match.

Cornette literally just posted a segment on (mostly women) working unsafe matches. This kind of match proves his point.

Also interesting to note Hook hasn't wrestled since that match against Claudio and Yuta when he (didn't) suffer that concussion, and puked multiple times mismatch. That was almost two months ago, he obviously suffered an injury in that match.

Yeah that’s a big bullet dodged, and Logan Paul is everything Travis Scott is not, he’s the one celebrity that has come in, embraced the work needed and he seems to always deliver in big matches. The match will be 10x better for him being in it instead of Scott. I don’t think Bad Bunny was too bad either, but it’s best to leave these celebrity spots to the odd chokeslam like Jelly Roll did rather than giving these guys matches.

I never liked Travis Scott’s involvement at all. He smacked Cody hard like a B, and then won’t take the receipts.

This is just your periodic reminder that I hate with all my gut that Logan Paul is actually good at this.

Jake Paul's boxing is as real as Logan Paul's wrestling. Jake is a fraud at a legit sport. Logan is legit in a fraud sport.

And yet Jake Paul draws more money boxing that any other boxer in the last 20 years. the GOAT Usyk doesn't even draw as much as him.

I guess in the sense of a draw, Jake Paul is undeniable. As a boxer he's pants. A lot of us are tuning in hoping someone caves his skull in.

This whole Cena heel turn being about Cena trying to ruin wrestling was a bit of a miss IMO.

The storyline was so simple...Cena is an entertainer, The Rock is an entertainer...they were here to do what was "best for business" and for TKO shareholders. They could argue what was best for business was Cena being champion and bringing legitimacy to wrestling in Hollywood and social media. Then you add Logan Paul to that as the guy who can show up week to week and take some bumps.

And they fued against Cody, Orton and others who are more about wrestling history and the legacy of the wrestling industry.

But this "Last real champion trying to ruin wrestling"...it honestly feels very forced for Cena and not natural.

Yeah basically. They hate watch him, people think he's annoying so they tune in to watch him get punched in the face. Or for the sideshow aspect of it (like folk nostalgic for Tyson).

He'd get creamed if he ever stepped in against someone ranked and in his prime. His bouts are boring clutchfests... Tyson vs. Paul would have been one of the worst cards I've seen if Taylor vs Serrano hadn't been such a good match.

Whoa... the entertainers/Hollywood acolytes leveraging this industry for money and fame vs. the pure wrestlers who see the industry as sacred would be an amazing angle. I had never thought of this. You're right, WWE had a total chance to do this with Rock/Cena/Paul forming the nucleus of the former group. Dang, that would have been fun. The fans would have eaten this up.

Was so obvious for that to be what the heel faction was.

They also shouldn't have played it as true heel, they should have played it like they were doing what was right and they were doing what was "Best for Business" and best for wrestling.

Would have worked too because The Rock and Cena both have had those accusations of only coming back to WWE for money or clout in recent years. And Logan Paul just fits in well with it.

Also would have made the Rock / Cody angle make more sense...Rock wanted Cody to sell his soul and turn hollywood and make wresting "Main Stream". Instead the guy who was already hollywood in Cena took that place.

Sounds like Mariah May is WWE bound. Really sucks IMO, some are just a fit somewhere and I don’t know that she’ll fit there given the safer PG bent they have there, but she is a hell of a talent.

Was he really released? It's a work, no? I've seen speculation that R-Truth is playing an April Fool's joke on June 1. "It's not April Fool's? My bad, my mistake. This one's on me."

What the actual ####?

He isn't being released, he's just not having his contact renewed. It's still an awful decision no matter what way you cut it though. He can still go, his merch sells and crowds love him. If you think his age is a problem sign him to a short deal. He deserves better. Apparently this is going over like a brick with wings in the locker room.

It sounds like Carlito is also on the way out. With the new callups and potential signings it makes sense. Older comedy wrestlers like Truth and Carlito can only go so far with the company. Usually this amounts to backstage segments and the occasional match. Great guys to have, but also takes up spots (and time) they can use for newer talent.

R-Truth is also 53 years old.

I wouldn't be surprised if they hire him as more of a back stage talent or trainer. But really I do think they are trying to move away from 50+ years old regular talent.

I'm really interested to see how Stephanie Vaquer does on the main roster. She has the full package to be a major star on the main roster. The women's division is going to be stacked with all the new additions (Vaquer, Grace, Perez, Giulia, possibly May). I wonder if they'll be making more cuts there next?

It is kind of strange to see people up in arms about R-Truth and Carlito being cut from the roster. I like them as much as the next guy, but they were pretty obviously in the last stretch of their careers, with neither guy being much more than a jobber.
