Hating the Oilers is the only reason I am watching TBH. Everything since round one has been pretty boring...same old, same old
hopefully it ends the same

I never really hated Dallas, Vegas or L.A. until this year’s playoffs.
But quite frankly they disgust me with their lack of heart.

Call it sour grapes if you want, but I'd be thinking the same if the Oilers weren't involved in the equation. Outside of Leafs/Sens and Stars/Avs there's been very little excitement about these playoffs.

The ratings being down 30% kind of prove it. No one cares about these teams especially Dallas Carolina and Edmonton.

Jake Oettinger has been a huge disappointment in this round.

But Dallas always wins the deserve o meter. They actually aren't that bad!
It's like advanced stats don't tell the real story. Edmonton gets the better chances off the rush. Dallas cycles slowly and shoots 20 shots a period at the goalies crest with no screen.
Would you rather have 15 odd man rush chances a game or 40 shots from the point at a crest with no screen?

Oilers didn't have many odd man rushes this game...they scored 2 PP goals, won 2-1

Win is a win and they are up 3-1 simple as that. One win away from the finals, I know Flames ownership and management are probably livid.

Fair enough. Rematch of two years ago. Still very repetitive.

If only he played like this in 2022 and we win in 5 or 6 like many predicted. Maybe no Tanev injury… maybe maybe maybe

I used to say that I watched the Flames during the regular season, and I watched the GAME during the playoffs.
The last 3 playoffs have been getting worse and worse. I've watched 3 games so far this playoffs...and I feel like I'm not missing anything. It's stale, boring hockey.

As much as I hated the Bieksa and Sedin Canucks, their rivalry with Chicago was awesome hockey to watch. And that wasnt a forced matchup, it happened organically

Hard to allow less than 1 goal to support victories in the last two.

I visualize McDavid's red, ugly crying elimination face every night before sleep and every morning waking up.
If manifestation exists, they are f###ed.

The Stars have the same problem as the Leafs - core players who produce in the regular season but disappear in big games in the playoffs. With the Leafs it’s Matthews and Marner. With the Stars it’s Robertson (20 pts in 29 games in the last two playoffs), Duchene (12 pts in 36 games), and Hintz (19 pts in 31 games). Their best big-moment player was Pavelski, and they miss his clutch scoring.
More data points in the playoffs being a different style of hockey that some players struggle to adapt to more than others.

Both teams finished 3rd in their division but Oilers had more points so I assume they get home ice if they play the panthers in the final?
