Two Stars penalties behind the Oilers net, both you would see not called in 90% of playoffs games...especially with 5 mins left in a one goal game

Nah, Florida is gonna repeat. They're the only team in the playoffs who know how to beat the Oilers and have the swagger to do so.

Adding Marchand to their team certainly doesn't hurt. Them strolling to the cup after the the Leafs took them to 7 seems fitting. Especially with their fans booing them off the ice and running their best player out of town.

Infuriating how teams are just falling all over themselves to get out of the Oilers way. Vegas and Dallas are a ####ing joke.

All I want to see is some fight back, it’s sickening the extent the Oilers are winning by. They’re not so great that these other teams should look borderline AHL level, I just want some sort of push back. IDGAF about the win o meter, anyone with eyes can tell you the Stars got completely dominated tonight, couldn’t make 2 passes or forecheck anywhere close to how hard the Oilers did.

At least even if the Panthers lose they’ll make it hell for the Oilers. That’s all I ask. But for that pushback to only happen in the Finals is a joke. Three teams that totally disrespected their jerseys this year. I guarantee this years version of the Flames would look better against the Oilers even if the end result was still a 4-1 series loss like Vegas or the Stars. (4-1,4-2, who actually cares the Stars are done)

Dallas is the biggest loser organization. Their players all suck in playoffs except Rantanen. Absolute no shows.
What has Rantanen done in this series? Sweet ---- all.

In the third...Stars totally dominated the first. Second was even.

No 5 on 5 goals in the game

We could really use that Cecil Terwilliger magic right about now.

I get your schtick so I’m not going to press any further, type of person that’ll bring up expected goals for if the Oilers clinch the cup, “but the data showed that the Panthers completely dominated them I swear”.

At least we both agree that the Panthers better win next round lol.

Maybe the Dallas rebuild model isn't something we want to emulate?

Its just what happened...what you said did in fact happen in the 3rd period. Stars dominated the first period though. They had double the ozone time, missed empty nets, hit posts. I am saying they blew the game by not converting in the first and then quit in the third.

Oilers scored 2 PP goals, but it was enough

I'm beyond tired of the Oilers and their fanbase—Dallas, snap out of it and push this series to six so Florida can get a few extra days of rest.

My office is unbearable with all these Oiler bandwagon fans, and I can't stand the whole "Canada's last team" narrative. The second the Oilers win, you just know they'll start bragging about their six Cups and asking Flames fans how many we have.

The Oilers domination out did any amount that stars had going for them, and the fact that they’re in a position to be down 3-1 with that level of effort, to me that’s a game that they were dominated, period splits be damned.

I’m not trying to dissect every period, that game was a complete joke and to even say you thought the Stars brought it tonite I’d have to respectfully disagree.

By that logic Florida needs to win too. 3-2 is a series.

lol I have never said that so there's that...they brought it for one of 3 periods which wasn't enough.
Oilers didn't really dominate either though, they scored 2 PP goals, it was a 2-1 win.

Hopefully they both suck and the West is fools gold...Panthers sweep, this time don't choke it.

But he put up 17 points in 5 games has been an invisible waste of money for the rest of the playoffs. Maybe not having MacKinnon makes things a big tougher.

This is a really good post. Same two teams in the finals, same four in the conference finals. Nearly every other series felt repetitive as well. It's a very boring structure, seeing the same matchups year after year.

Call it sour grapes if you want, but I'd be thinking the same if the Oilers weren't involved in the equation. Outside of Leafs/Sens and Stars/Avs there's been very little excitement about these playoffs.
