It was Michael Rapaport. He was strong anti-Trump but flipped 180°.

Agreed, as with anything you can't trust the current administration. Their motives for it are likely something tangential, but it makes a lot of sense for the people that actually care about environmental issues, grid stability, competing for data centre builds etc.

What has happened to the New York Times?
These are 2 headlines about the same event, you decide which more closely resembles the truth

Headline from the New York Times: Trump Gives Commencement Address at West Point, Stressing a New Era

Headline from the independent: Trump gives rambling speech about trophy wives, golf and the 'great late' Al Capone in politically-charged West Point address

I don’t know if it was a complete 180° (“on the table” is kind of non-committal), but disappointing all the same given how fervently against Trump he was.

Frankly, single issue voters are morons. Single issue voters — particularly on this issue — are especially so.

Here is what I am puzzled about, was he a dip s**t when he was anti-Trump or one when he converted?

All these celebs on both sides are complete morons.

A hypothetical poll, AOC would trounce Schumer if she ran against him in the 2028 Senate primary.

https://nypost.com/2025/05/25/us-new...h-voters-poll/

She's polling better among Jewish voters is eyeopening.

Yeah but,Chuck Schumer has been pretty useless. He also attended the Al Smith dinner last year with Trump and kissed butt.

It's like those "choose your story" books for teens. Choose your news.

We can give you the truth which isn't very exciting and maybe a little depressing, or you can pick the fun if wildly inaccurate propagandized door.

Rapaport is pretty religious I believe.

He was into the vaccines as well, and did a 180 on that issue as well.

Athletes and celebrities probably shouldn't be looked on as someone to follow for political stances. Look at Theo guy is a complete nutbar.

Especially when any sane person knows Trump would be even worse on that pet issue.

No they aren't. Lots of celebs who are liberals are perfectly smart and well educated on their politics or causes.

There's no reason not to look at a celebrity who has obviously done homework as someone to follow on that topic. If they make sense, it's fine with me if they use the platform. Springsteen, for example, didn't say anything that's untrue. And he's a hundred times more credible than a Fox talking head.

You just have to be able to use independent assessment and not give extra credit to an opinion because it's a celeb's.

Putin, the guy who jails, poisons and tortures his enemies. The guy who will have you accidentally shoot yourself in the back of the head three times before you throw yourself out a window.

Trump is just fake mad because he signed a minerals deal with Ukraine and he wants his preciouses.

This might actually push the US to provide more support for Ukraine.

This administration cares far more about $$$$ than Lives.
