That's why I use the word filter feature on Twitter. I still get the odd post about that trash organization if it doesn't have any of the words but it's cut it down alot.

I’m not a fan of their lines, but it’s more than that. Forecheck, neutral zone defense and transitioning, and break outs of their offensive zone all need corrections.
Players still need to execute, but the Dallas coaching staff must be working diligently to make the minimum adjustments.
Can’t get a worse result a year later in the WCF.
Losing faith after the results in game 2 and 3, but if they could figure out a way to get the win in game 4, it’s a still a series.

Did you watch the game? What parts looked good to you and what needs adjusting?
There was also a post by another guy who said he just checked the score then talked about ‘if Dallas keeps playing like this’. Not sure why he has an opinion on how they are playing when he didn’t watch
Fact is they dominated the play a lot of the time, particularly in the entire second
Edmonton should have been in the box, as puck out of play should be automatic, but instead the officials missed it and they scored immediately instead of being on the PK
Rantanen hit the inside of the near post and the puck went out the other way, it was a fraction of an inch from being in
Skinner was lights out and a bit lucky
I hated their last 5 minutes. A lot
But they were generally the better team except for allowing a few grade A chances on which the Oilers did not miss

So glad I'm on VanIsle, looking at the ocean ignoring hockey.
And drinking really good wine with my sweetie.

You make a lot of valid points and yes the puck out of play was a big miss by the officials and the goal immediately afterwards was salt in the wound.
Their last 5 minutes aside, I would like to see Dallas make Skinner move laterally more frequently as this is where he struggles.
Play the same as they did in the second period for 60 minutes and I think they take game 4.
No puck luck and bad calls are something every team needs to play through in order to win a 7 game series.

What is going on here? Last season the team up 2-1 in the WCF lost in 6. Somebody says forget the shots, forget the goals. Didn't the Oilers beat the Panthers 8-1 in a game before they won nothing?
Edmonton is No Good. Period.

For those who watched the game, was skinner actually good? Or is Dallas just not getting high danger looks? I can’t trust any Canadian social media.

Probably the best game of his life...and a little lucky too. Expected goals were 3.46 for the Stars and 1.49 for the Oilers
Its a 6-1 game and the team with the 1 had 64% on the deserve to win o meter...not sure I have even seen anything like that.

Didn't follow the game tonight. Came in here to see how things went, and it's sounds like a bunch of Oiler fans, pretending to not be Oilers fans, grudgingly saying how the Cup is a foregone conclusion. Every thread on CP lately is just a wild place.

I don’t know why nobody gave Nurse a whack or two on top of the laces once the game was out of hand. That really hurts as Hintz knows. Or instead of Nurse, maybe give 97 a whack and see if coach was right or not about how the refs call it
Florida remembered that Aho put out Reinhart. Little pokes after the whistle all night long, then Tkachuk gave him a little attention.
Dallas? Just looked sad, like their coach looks sad all the time

It’s interesting people can call out Carolina for the same things and heap praise on Dallas. A team with Jamie Benn the cheap shot artist.

That's awesome you got an escape like that.
Unfortunately, for people like me that's just a Monday. 1) kinda a low key brag. 2) It actually sucks they grease are doing well in the playoffs and that is a typical Monday. This team needs to be out . There are to many Oil flags starting to come out . In the season there are a bit of Oil flags and fans out for sure as transplants but the last 4 years the Canucks "fans" also start being Oil fans . Even when it was Flames vs Grease the numbers out numbered Calgary fans here. There are alot of Calgary transplants here . Blue collar city mostly with alot of Vancouver companies basing HQ here now . Cheaper taxes etc etc., but the Vancouver Fans cheering for grease because Mcdavid,Gretzky, Messier , ...
Vancouver fans don't care. Who ever has the bigger star power. Sicking.
The only blessing out where I live is we see very little Montreal and Toronto fans . I've seen more Ottawa fans here than those 2 only because of the Garrick head pub in Victoria.

Didn't Calagry have a game vs. (Dallas?) where they outshot them and outplayed them terribly and still lost?

Oilers in 5 prediction right on schedule. Rantanen being indoctrinated into the Stars reality that they are never going to be anything better than a great regular season team. Who would have thought that the Kings of all teams would be the only team in the western conference to get the Oilers to break a sweat and even that was pretty brief.

It was one of the greatest goaltending performances of all time. If he was always like that, he’d be talked about like Carey Price was. He isn’t. But holy #### he was amazing that series. Just incredible.

The guy isn't even that anymore. He's a big pansy now. He had no problem taking out Tkachuk when they played the Flames in the bubble but all of a sudden he's Mr. Sportsmanship.

Absolutely one of the greatest series I've ever seen from a goaltender and maybe one of the greatest involving both goaltenders. Pretty crazy Marstrom sported a phenomenal .943 SV% and he was second fiddle in that playoff series.
