So matches with 70-30. Dallas cashed in on the PP and awful goaltending. They got dummied 5 on 5. That’s been the story all postseason. They don’t deserve to be here. Hopefully they can fluke out another series.

Keep on fighting the good fight over there ! Sad to hear so many Sasky fans cheer for the oilers. Sasky people are usually known for their common sense. It must be the McBandwagon effect.
Sadly many lacrosse and hockey parents on my kid’s teams in Calgary cheer for the oilers. It’s an epidemic of disgustingness. Like the Last of Us, but instead of people being overtaken by ugly fungus and making weird sounds, they are overtaken by blue and orange attire and can’t stop saying ‘Mcdavid’.

They didn't get dummied 5v5 though, especially outside of that 12 minute stretch from Seguin goal to 3-1.

Shots were 24-22
High Danger was 8-8
XGF was 2.5 - 2.0

I'd call that "slightly outplayed" not dummied.

And it's a team game, and goaltending is part of the team. Oettinger outplaying the Oilers goaltenders is how Dallas wins this series.

Really the underlying hatred you have of Dallas is obvious...you want the Flames to tank and you hate that Conroy mentioned Dallas as a comparison the Flames org is looking at...so you want Dallas to fail.

But even if Dallas loses...doesn't really change that they have made it to three straight conference finals, have the second most playoff wins in those 3 seasons (behind Florida) and also have the best regular season record over those three seasons (.665)

As a Flames fan I'd kill for that type of success (they've made it to 2 conference finals in my lifetime) and there are lots of teams that committed to a tank (Buffalo, Utah, Columbus, Detroit, Toronto, New Jersey, etc) that would too.

They have the highest per capita “bring the cup back to Canada” fans I’ve ever seen. Since they have no nhl team, they tend to cheer for the closest Canadian teams, especially western Canadian teams since they tend to dislike Winnipeg. But there’s not really very many actual Oiler fans. At least not diehards. If it were the flames in the playoffs, they’d be pulling for us.
