Guess it was street cleaning day on their street. Walked out and parking enforcement was driving by with the cameras. I was there for all of 5 minutes but timed it perfectly. Sigh can't wait for the ticket in the mail.

That's bad luck but it's crazy the amount of residents that continue to ignore the street cleaning signs as it's an automatic ticket now with the camera tickets and why would you want to throw $100+ (I don't know what it is) away when you can simply park in your empty driveway and use that money for food, entertainment, bills, etc.

Totally, and I'm the guy that says that about my street and gasp, parks the car in the garage. If there were less cars on the street I probably would have clued in too, sucks to get dinged for it.

Brutal. I got one too 2 weeks ago. Was my first morning at my new place and I leave for work at 8:15'ish, figured I'd be fine (at my old spot, they had the same 8-4 signs but wouldn't be there until late afternoon). Evidently my new street is the very first one on the day, I had a ticket by 8:10 and they were lining up my car to tow it when I came out. Yeah they're not messing around anymore.

You can appeal online easily now and they seem to be pretty forgiving / reduce tickets
I image of you explain what you were doing and provide “proof” - invoice from the day home , etc showing you were doing a drop off they may be lenient

But really if they recommend cabbage on the bottom of meatloaf perhaps you should be showing them the door. Also, meat loaf is far better on a roasting pan so it crisps on all sides, not in a loaf pan boiling in meat juice.

The neighbour's truck was stolen last night. I checked my camera on the front of the garage. Nothing. It's about twenty feet away.
Do NOT buy Blink cameras. I think the name comes from the fact it is always blinking.

I really hate these lower seated turn signals on cars now. I know why they basically at bumper level, but how much could it possibly add to the cost of the car to also have them where they originally were? Like $5 to wire them into the blinker circuit?

It's an awful design decision. They're more difficult to see at a glance, and they get covered with snow far more easily than ones located further up the body of the vehicle.

I hate this too and I'll add the vehicles that have large tail light assemblies but virtually no actual brake light like the Toyota RAV4.

Those look like running lamps. I know they're not because the running lamps are probably huge. What a crap design.

Thx. They'll probably say "you parked there you pay" but doesn't hurt to try.

One bright LED is fine, it's the housing that makes it look daft.

New regulation. It's so that the turn indicators are visible when the tailgate is open.

Yeah, I know, but they could have still left the original location too.

He has so many special bits, but his overall mixture is the full formula that many others will never want to attempt to replicate in full.
BTW, Nardwaur is an absolute treasure. Nardwuar vs Questlove is one that I've watched more than half a dozen times. As mentioned, it's not podcast~like. It's an interview that just turns into two guys geeking out about stuff they're passionate about/two people geeking out about a collection with one guy consistently geeking out and blown away by what's in the collection. The Pharrell and Snoop ones are also great, especially the one where Snoop is so grateful to Nardwaur for gifting him his movie that even he himself didn't have in his personal collection.

Agreed. Leave them in the original location, but stick some somewhere that are visible when the tailgate is up. We already have bubble hoods for crumple safety that messes up positional awareness. Signal lights that feel like they're at knee height or lower just seems extra annoying for no reason.

That is not a new regulation. But it has become more of an issue lately with all of these weird light assemblies in the tailgates.
