Also I in yesterday's news, after a canceled first round last December, Romania finally finishes their presidential election where a solidly pro-Ukraine pro-EU candidate beat a pro-Russian "nationalist" EU-sceptic with a very Trumpian campaign by a fairly comfortable margin.

Russia has begun using new kamikaze drones that select targets and carry out strikes without operator involvement. These drones can fly up to 100 km from the front line, are equipped with cameras and computer vision, operate without GPS, and independently decide when and where to strike. https://twitter.com/user/status/1925162319572529219

Brazil has uncovered a network of Russian agents operating in the country under assumed names. One of the agents was Artem Shmyryov, who had documents under the name Gerhard Daniel Kampush Wittich. He lived in Rio de Janeiro and ran a 3D printing business. He did not arouse suspicion even from his girlfriend. However, the investigation showed that his identity was fictitious and the documents were forged in the name of a non-existent person. https://twitter.com/user/status/1925202179909951594

People act surprised these days that Russia uses subterfuge tactics in democratic countries to achieve their goals.
But this has literally been going on since the 40s. How many Bond movies, Tom Clancy books, documentaries, stories, etc do people need to see before they understand that they've always tried to undermine us. Smart men like Eisenhower knew this even back then.
We've dropped our guard and they've succeeding in installing a POTUS who has completely capitulated to them.

Hopefully all the kidnapped children will come home as well at some point.
The thought of missing children cuts me to my core and I can't even think about the subject. I can feel panic and anxiety start to overwhelm me unless I shoo the thought out of my brain quickly. Most of my annual charitable dollars go to missing children societies for this reason.
This is nothing compared to what Ukrainians have gone through. I am gutted for them.

Lithuania’s Defense Minister Dovilė Šakalienė didn’t hold back on Trump’s latest call with Putin—she says it’s starting to feel like a broken record.
We were just in Lithuania last week. In Vilnius there was a big event where they officially launched a German-Lithuanian partnership where the Germans have supplied troops and equipment for the deployment of the German 45th Heavy Armour Division to the country. A bunch of tanks and other equipment were on display. Panzerific.
The government there seems to be focused on the threat a half hour drive away. If our Bolt driver was any indication of the general population, they are much less concerned…though I like to think he was not representative, he gave off a MAGA vibe.

Amazing operation, the videos of the impacts on the bear bombers are epic. The tires on the wings didn’t help lol. Russians will struggle to replace any of these assets, this stuff was still Soviet inheritance.

Unusual that Ukraine releases such details from an operation like that. I wonder whether it's because they know good footage and details help make the news in the West, or because they want to increase paranoia inside Russia, or because they believe a visible strike will boost morale at home.
(Obviously could be any combination... or some other motivation )

It sounds too complicated to repeat easily, but if it gets the Russians to start checking every container for possible drones it’s a good side benefit. My guess is Ukraine wanted some good propaganda for the international heading into the next round of ‘peace talks’. Things haven’t been going great for them lately.
