It's always hard to judge in preseason but there was a lot to like.
-Walker looks okay. I like that is willing to throw the ball down the field.
-the young RBs looked good.
-the oline had a good game.

Always nice to get a win even in pre-season as the Stamps prevail over the Lions 26-16. As FF said above, Walker looked certainly capable as a backup QB and DD might have to make some tough decision with the young running backs in camp. Alford made one incredible catch today and he's one tall target,
Aside from Ryan Jones getting injured (looked like a bad ankle injury), I think the Stamps were otherwise injury free which is good.

How did the offensive line look and defensive line ?
Winning the trenches is going to be very important this year.

Tough to gauge because some of these guys won't likely be around for the opening day roster, but the o-line was opening up holes and also provided some good protection for the various QB's. Defensive line did get good pressure on the Lions QB's, the Lions did manage to run the ball quite well today though.

I like how the highlights of the game felt like it was from 1983 CBC with Don Whitman and Ron Lancaster on the call....

seeing the chart the offence looks pretty potent to me lots of weapons for Adams to sling it around to.
Bring back John Jenkins and the 62 pass attempts and 2 run scheme.

If the Stamps can get a full season of health from Reggie, Rhymes, and Philpot, they could very well end up being a playoff team in the West. Ed Hervey went bonkers in free agency, but I don't know how much better the Elks will be. The Lions have a brand new head coach in Buck Pierce and plenty of personnel changes, I could easily seeing them take a step back as well.

The stamps having an actual deep ball threat now will be a treat to watch instead of 5 yard Maier.

Yup, not only can VA throw a nice deep ball but he also has the legs to extend plays when under pressure. Already excited for the first regular season game.

I would say my excitement for this season feels like 2005 when we got a QB and receiver wnd had competent coaches.
The stretch of dominance was different because the season just felt like let’s just not get injured and finish this thing off.

Excellent news...
CFL broadcasts from Montreal will be a lot more peaceful in 2025 thanks to a major change to the Alouettes’ fan code of conduct.
According to a report from Keven Breton of Radio Canada, air horns will no longer be allowed at Percival Molson Stadium beginning with Saturday’s preseason game against Ottawa. In April, the Alouettes amended their previously vague guidelines around excessive noise-making to specifically ban the use of “compressed air trumpets, megaphones and other mechanical noise instruments.”

This 7:30 start time seems late for a preseason game.

Pretty embarrassing start for the new commish - The draft had streaming issues and now the streaming site has been crashing all day long apparently.
Edit: The gametracker seems to be functioning though and I can report that VA is having a very good opening quarter for the Stamps. It's 15-1 for the good guys with just under a minute left in the 1st quarter.
