This, it looks like the clip that covers the Isofix (car seat mounting) brackets when not in use in the back seat.

As others have said - it's the plastic cover that goes over where seat attachments are attached to the car. After a while the glue fails or they get kicked off (or both).

Or it was taken off for the car seat. Some just snap in when not in use.

MMF is the tough as nails cop that "plays by his own rules". The force keeps suspending him when he crosses the line but he keeps coming back and then cracks a big case.
