Johnson plays mostly LW. Columbus have no reason to move him.

I think they’d be more willing to deal from their prospect base to get Andersson, but Sillinger plus 14 overall or one of their better prospects could be doable if Calgary included another asset back.
With how wide open the middle of the first round is this year, I’d love to see Calgary have another mid first round pick… and who knows, they may be able to package it with another of their firsts to move up into the top 10.

I think Sillinger + 14th overall would be a solid return for Andersson - especially if a high-upside center like McQueen falls to that pick.

I doubt that Columbus would move the 14oa for one year of Anderson.
If they move the 14oa, they'll want a younger dman with term.
Anderson likely has more value to a team he'll sign an extension with.

Probably. If Andersson was willing to sign an extension right away with Columbus, he might get that return. Flames could also add something if Andersson won’t sign with Columbus (maybe the Florida pick if it’s in the 29th-30th overall range).

You could argue that CLB is a place Razz would sign. Playing withonny again, being there for the Gaudreaus.
I'm not big on a package from CLB that wouldn't include Voronkov though.

I think 14OA + Sillinger for Andersson + 18OA is more realistic.

Andersson for Sillinger and 4 spots? No thanks. That seems like pretty bad value for Ras

Big Sillinger fan here- would LOVE to see him in our jersey. Unfullfilled potential there.

If the Flames are so short sighted to do an offer sheet that costs them a 1st Ill lose my mind.
The islanders just won a lottery to move up huge, would be idiotic to risk McKenna for any of the RFAs available.

Yep, max is a 2nd rounder. Basically do what STL did to Edmonton.

Agreed. I think one of the following would be closer to fair for both sides (depending on if the Florida pick ends up 29th-32nd overall or it ends up 22nd overall):
A)
To Columbus: Andersson + 29th-32nd overall
To Calgary: 14th overall + Sillinger
B)
To Columbus: Andersson + 22nd overall
To Calgary: 14th overall + Sillinger + 3rd round pick

Maybe we can offer sheet healthy scratch Maverick like everyone keeps suggesting.
Looking through teams depth chart to target 3rd and 4th liners because you are desperate to make a move.
Can’t see Conroy doing that.

Totally agree. If you are a team with almost unlimited cap space and a situation where the cap is not a concern for years to come the obvious answer is to try to improve your team via free agency, not trade player for player or worse yet give up your own picks for a player.

Easy yes to both. I'd do andersson straight for sillinger. Imo 22>14 is a good swap. Then we see if Buffalo will do 14+32 for 9

Good point, rookies never get better than their rookie year. We should keep Rooney instead.
Just kidding! I'd still offer-sheet him but with his playoffs in mind maybe we can get him for just a 3rd at the $2.34M limit and the Stars might not match if they feel their roster is better off without a slightly overpaid rookie.
A 3rd worth the risk for the Flames to give him a chance to develop in the NHL and see if he can hit his ceiling as a top 6 C. I'd start him as either #4C or on Backlund's wing to see how he develops.

Puckpedia has the value of
18+22 getting you to 9 (so MAYBE 10/11 factoring in real life)
18+32 gets you to 12
