It looks like a modesty cover for a mechanism. Look for something that moves and/or something that is bolted to the chassis. Like a car seat.

Google lens also said that it's most likely a vehicle engine part or a boat motor part... I'm a bit sceptical. This is definitely a clip which goes into something with four holes and locks into place.
