I saw the challenge to haul wood with the guy chopping it and I yelled out, "Come on, my teams of Pops and Jeff went home last week and they give us this?"

I really enjoyed this episode. Didn't fast forward at all. And now I kind of want to go to Bulgaria.

Carson and Jack were saved by the fact that no one realized they were so far behind. It was pretty obvious Nick and Mike were the ones going home, based on the interviews. They just looked really down whereas Carson and Jack did not.

"Maybe someone else will make a bigger mistake than us." [Bad Amazing Race sound] "Yeah."

This week, the race continues in Bulgaria. Alyssa & Josiah walk on hot coals for the Express Pass. Carson & Jack catch up after being hours behind. Melinda & Erika misread the clue and take taxis everywhere when they're not supposed to... but they still manage to lose the old-fashioned way, so they're going home.

  1. Brett & Mark (win $7,500 each)
  2. Alyssa & Josiah
  3. Jonathan & Ana
  4. Carson & Jack
  5. Han & Holden

I gotta say...I never realized that cyphers were that complicated. I was stunned that held everyone up so much.

"We're not even bad, bro."

This week, the teams travel to Naples, Italy and buy people their groceries and make pizzas they don't get to eat. Han and Holden fell way behind and finished last... but it was a non-elimination leg, so they live to fight another day.

  1. Jonathan & Ana (win trip to Mexico City)
  2. Brett & Mark
  3. Alyssa & Josiah
  4. Carson & Jack
  5. Han & Holden (non-elimination)
  6. Melinda & Erika
  7. Nick & Mike
  8. Pops & Jeff
  9. Scott & Lori
  10. Bernie & Carrigain
  11. Courtney & Jasmin
  12. Ernest & Bridget

Next week: The Race continues in France.

Also, I'm going to be out of town for the next two weeks, and it turns out they're airing the final two episodes on May 14 and 15, so I won't be around to post the elimination updates. If anyone wants to do that for the rest of the season, feel free.

So the twist was that they would say there were no non-eliminations and then they'd have one?

I like all the remaining teams, so I'd be fine with any of them winning, although I'd prefer Brett and Mark for my own personal glory, haha... Jonathan seems a bit intense, but that's how Jonathans go on the Amazing Race. I just don't get couple vibes off him and Ana though.

Brett and Mark just could not get it together this leg. They fell behind but they had so many opportunities to get back in it, but just couldn't.

Now I'm on Team Anyone but Jonathan. "We could have been in first place if she hadn't screwed up." They should have stayed broken up.

Yeah, that guy is a super dick. I never seen someone openly insult & blame their significant other like that. He’s like a little five-year-old.

So, they definitely broke up again after the race, right? Right?

It's so awkward to watch what is very likely an emotionally abusive relationship play out like this. Can you imagine behaving like that with a camera in your face? What does that guy do when there's nobody else around?

It's wild to watch what a bruised ego can do to certain people. He has never once recovered during a race.

Im embarrassed to have Jonathan as my selection. Actively rooting against him! Was very happy he dropped the tile at the end of last nights episode. I hope they dont let him off lightly and make them start again!

Carson and Jack seem to have found their groove!

“With Jonathan and Ana, probably the most controversial team that we’ve had this season, they’ve obviously been struggling in their relationship,” the reality star, 57, told TV Line in an interview published on Monday, May 12, ahead of the season 37 finale. “They wanted to come onto this show, I think, to test things. Fans have a lot of opinions about this particular team.”
The CBS personality added that, “regardless of whatever is going on in that dynamic,” Jonathan and Ana “are a very strong team.” However, he explained that Jonathan is “probably the most competitive” cast member this season, which has led to some of the issues between him and Ana.
“Even when he comes in second, to him it’s a loss. One of the things I discussed with him along the way was, ‘Hey, you’ve got to take it easy on yourself, but also take it easy on your partner,’” Phil said.

So the Finale was last night. I’m not sure if anyone caught that.

To expand on Jonathon. Once he saw how fans reacted and after he saw himself, on the show, he went and got himself checked out. He was diagnosed with Autism and now has proper treatment. It explains a lot of his reactionary side comments and lack of enthusiasm when they were behind others.

Jonathan addressed the criticism he has received from fans during an April 8 video on his and Ana’s YouTube page, “The Road Less Traveled.” He revealed that, after seeing his behavior play out on the show, he sought help and was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

Looking back at what I was seeing, and knowing what I know about myself now, it’s so hard for me to be supportive and helpful to somebody when my brain is in this overheated state,” he said.

Explaining that he had a “hyperactive brain,” Jonathan continued, “When I’m on The Race, unlike when I’m at home, I cannot control the external factors. I have no control – my routines are completely non-existent. And we rely on – people like me rely on routines in order to help us regulate our emotions and to control the amount of stimulus that we can get at any given time.”
He also owns up to his behaviour here: https://www.justjared.com/2025/05/15...a-inexcusable/

well I hope he truly is on a better path now.

I've been there where you get overstimulated and misdriect anger. It's a long road to reprogram your brain.

Carson and Jack win, so that was great, they deserved it after coming back a few episodes back when they were hours behind!

Well, at least he (Jonathan) sought some kind of help? Still think his apology was kind of jerk-like. "She came from nothing and was up against all these amazing people..."

I liked Carson and Jack (and would have picked them if the person ahead of me hadn't) so good for them on winning.

Hunh. Personal responsibility and accountability? That's not something one often sees these days.
