I did see that. Not to that degree though and there is a bit of a difference between a 6-1 drubbing and a 2-0 barnburner where there is a chance.

Rielly-3
Marner-2
Matthews-2
Pacioretty-2
5 other players with 1 shot block.
That and some weak goaltending from Bobrovsky, and we're going to game 7.
Hockey is a weird game.

So, just to add to this, Panthers missed the net a ton as well, probably because the Leafs were in shooting lanes.
https://twitter.com/user/status/1923569233209733452
22 shots on net
24 missed shot attempts
32 blocked shots
Compare this to the Leafs
https://twitter.com/user/status/1923569212313792789
15 shots on net
14 missed shot attempts
10 blocked shots
Shot attempts were 78 to 39 for Florida. Bob is also notorious for bouncing back after a bad game.
While anything can happen in a single game, I like Florida's chances in game 7.

I feel fine. Panthers have great fans. The narrative that they don't is an old hack.

Yeah down 2 there was tons of time left. I just think a lot of Florida fans don't follow hockey so they don't know. Not the same as Toronto Game 5 when they were down 5 and putting in no effort. Plus it's the Leafs. They can blow a 2 goal lead easy.
I was watching a game with a guy from Texas and it was a one goal game with one minute left and he said they game was over. No way they could score with a minute left. Not enough time. So don't watch enough hockey to know better.

I need a big asterix beside that comment. Or maybe more specific on which teams.

Still think they lose Game 7. This team for whatever reason can never play hard on Game 7s.
I feel like how you feel when you buy a lottery ticket. You know you are going to lose but you think there is a small chance and if you win it would be pretty neat.
But this team always forces Game 7s and then no shows.

This is definitely just a set up for another Leafs nation meltdown.
Those poor b#####s gonna get their hopes up again.
Steve Dangle has probably shortened his life by half a decade over this Leafs "window".

Leafs will be up 3-1 with 2 minutes left in the 3rd, and lose 4-3 in OT.

Plus with everything the Leafs fans have been through with their team ghosting on them I can understand that level of frustration.

Well you won't like my answer. Leafs because they're in my pool and I bet big on the Oilers to win the Cup.

We should be cheering for the Leafs. Then hope for their demise in the ECF. Actually if you're truly sadistic and wantaxim pain, you'll want them to make the SCF and lose in game 7. But then there's the chance that they'll be against the Oilers in the Finals, so there's that. So I'll cheer for the Leafs all the way.

You just know it’s going to be a crushing loss for the Leafs on Sunday. You just know.
But they did win 2 in a row to start. But that history….

Meanwhile, the Leafs have fallen on their face again and again and again and again in elimination games. Marner hasn’t showed up in any of them. This isn’t just optics - the results speak for themselves.
Do you think there’s no such thing as players who play well in the regular season but struggle to be effective in the playoffs? Or do you think there is, but Marner isn’t one of them?

And that’s a fair criticism of Marner. But let’s be honest it was no coincidence that he made one bad play on that spinner around a backhand, which by the way it was Matthews that fumbled that pass, and sure enough there were dozens of posts immediately afterwards of people saying stay far away from him.
Like all sports the discourse very much revolves around what have you done for me lately. If he had a Hattrick the same dozen people would be making posts about lining up a dump truck full of money for him.
