In the end Ted DiBiase was the most truthful wrestler of all time..."Everybody's got a price"

Although I think it's too early to know for sure if he goes...he was briefly in the announcement video for Night of Champions and everyone has jumped to conclusions that it means he is going, but who knows if he's actually there.

Yeah, it just looks extra bad on him because of all the #### he talked about it.

Oh for sure, if he ends up wrestling on that card then he's 100% deserves all the backlash for it.

Just feels like people are jumping the gun based on a marketing video.

Yeah, I'll obviously walk it back if I'm wrong, but I doubt he digs in his heels with TKO.

Yeah, I don't really care that he left AEW after what happened. I don't generally dislike the guy either. I would have definitely changed my tone on him if he did end up going.

If he's standing up to TKO, then I'll like him even more.

I don't think I'd be shocked if he went. I am sure I'd be slightly disappointed, but good people do the wrong thing for bad reasons all the time. Even people who had enough vitriol on a topic and told a now co-worker to suck a blood money covered dick.

I certainly prefer he stick to his guns and not go. But really, that they go as a company at all is sincerely disappointing, so people employed caving and going just feels inevitable.

In other news...Jfc, AEW. Get this Death Riders #### over and done with now. Just awful stuff every week.

Adding Gabe Kidd to AitA sort of makes sense because he had the NJPW rivalry with Kenny Omega, but that should have been done after the match was announced. He has zero connections to Joe or Mox, so I'm not sure why he would cost Joe the title.

Unfortunately once ratings starting bouncing back, I think any chance they looked to move on from this went out the window. It's auto turn off/fast forward for me when I find time to watch.

Didn't the ratings start bouncing back when Kenny returned? I'd be interested in looking at the splits, but I'd wager that it's Kenny, Ospreay, Swerve, and Toni Storm that are spiking the ratings more than the Death Riders crap.

Actually, the rest of the show has been good.

Ospreay/Hangman
Patriarchy stuff
Callis Family stuff
FTR
Women's division
MJF/Hurt Syndicate

It's all been pretty good except for the Mox stuff.

Money talks...and the president and pretty much every major CEO was in Saudi this week for some manufactured Saudi-American business summit.

The Dark Side of the Ring episode on the Original Sheik Ed Farhat is a really good watch, especially with the recent death of Sabu.

Was it really a dark side of the ring? Kinda from a the guy had it all, lived his gimmick, became one of the richest men in wrestling and blew it and ended up being the cautionary tale of the super old wrestler desperate to hold on.

I'm really interested in the Eddie Gilbert one, and might watch it tonight, but I doubt it will be any different then what was in Missy's book.

I fully agree that the ratings bump is everything around the main event story and not the main event story but we all know that's not how it's being looked at in the office.

Outside of Christian and maybe Hurt Syndicate the big ex-WWE guys have been the worst part of AEW for a while.

Not really. Only thing I would say was sad is how it eventually took a toll on his body. But then again you can say that for most wrestlers, especially the ones who had a long career.

Darby summited Everest today. That's really cool, what an accomplishment by him... Now get the World Title on him already. Stop putting off what the audience wants. Send Mox out on the Jericho vortex. Moxley doesn't need to be champion and taking up airtime every week.

Did he do a coffin drop onto Jack Perry from the top? (I'm sure this is a super original thought...)

The Eddie Gilbert one was kind of strange, in that they were missing a large part of his history, I was also surprised at how little they mentioned Missy Hyatt, and didn't have her make an appearance on the show. They kind of swept her part of it under the rug and replaced her with Medusa.

It was the first Dark Side of the Ring that felt like we got an incomplete story.

There’s already a photo of the AEW flag on top of Everest, and a “Mt Everest is All Elite” complete with Darby coffin dropping from it haha

At this point they’ll likely do the payoff at All In. That story has been better as of late, as has most of their stuff since the HBO deal took place. Gotta see Darby winning it somehow, that’s a great story and him overcoming that and taking up the flag would be awesome. Maybe he helps Ospreay win it. He’s going to be super over after this.
