People that needs help getting onto a flight, then want to be the fist off the flight.
Listen it's cool that you need help to get on the flight, but when it comes to getting off y'all gotta wait until the end.
Don't be dragging your slow ass stopping the rest of us from getting on with our lives.

Yeah, Boston Pizza rules. Only place in town with a better ceasar salad is Oscar's.
The meateor pizza is a gift from God.
The prices at BP's are high if you buy the wrong things, but if you know what you're doing it's so consistently good no matter where you are in Canada and their lunch prices are actually super good.
As for my favourite restaurants right now...Aloha where Gaucho used to be on Macleod is out of this world. Best food ever.
Next best is in Bonavista Downs...an Indian restaurant called Leafy Grill. Amazing prices and such awesome food.

I have no recollection of the Meateor pizza. I rarely go, but it's always Perogie pizza for me. Maybe next time I got, I'll get the kids to get it and then steal a piece to try.

Speaking of fast food restaurants, this is probably the boomer in me speaking. But I hate how all the menus at restaurants are on screens now and they constantly change, so I have no idea what the full menu offerings are anymore. Was at Popeye's the other day, and I had to wait while the screen scrolled back to a menu item I wanted to point it out the cashier of my order.

BP caesar is total meh and tends towards the gross. Sliver's taste buds are broken.

Mcdonalds > Boston Pizza.

I don't mind Boston Pizza, it's about as good as other mid family restaurants like Montana's or Denny's.
This is really aging me now lol, but I find Ricky's underrated. It's always such a chill vibe, since it's mostly just old people in there.

Like...? (Legit question)
I mean, if I were closer, I'd go to Starlite more often. If it's Pizza, I quite like getting deep dish pizza for a group as opposed to going to BPs. $50-60 and have enough to feed 6-8 people with left overs. Cheaper by headcount when it comes to filling someone up than buying from like Dominoes/Papa Johns/Pizza hut etc.
But I agree in the sense that for a family of 4, it's kinda disappointing at times to realize that it's only incrementally more to eat at Kinjo (per se) than McDonalds. I think stuff like that is what keeps me from going to a chain like BPs more often. It's like $40-50 at McDs vs like $45-75 at a nicer sit down place to be just as full (extra $5-10 a head depending if starving vs peckish).

Dude… I’ve been honked at for moving over for an ambulance… and for waiting for a pedestrian to get out of my line of fire.

Yeah, but if you're getting honked at on the regular for not scooching through the intersection in rush hour you can literally fk over people behind you for several light cycles. You have to push your way through. Getting honked at once...yeah, guy behind you is probably dumb. calgarygeologist getting honked at regularly for not moving through the intersection in rush hour is absolutely his fault.

Do you remember the brand of the mattress?
My wife (interior designer) used to sell Vispring mattresses at the store she worked at a long time ago. UK made, with natural horse hair, history of furnishing the Titanic and Royalty. At the time the starting price for the cheapest one was around $10K, which was still too rich for my blood, but I tried one once and man was it comfortable.
Meanwhile I still sleep on a mattress from the 90s. Gotta upgrade one of these decades.

Nah I think you’re off on this and you sound like you’re caught blocking intersections frequently. You can say you aren’t. But the behaviour you support certainly does, so I won’t believe you.

This is one of those things that is baffling until you realize that nearly everyone has mediocre taste in everything. Every time I go home I end up leaving the room while my dad watches some badly acted network TV drama on the cable he still pays for, and that's not even mentioning trash reality TV. There is a huge consumer base for absolute crap out there.

It's weird, because it's not like they're taking up less space than before. You could have them on screens and have them just be static.

Ricky's breakfast is my guilty pleasure. Love the brekkie bowls.
I have young kids and we've been going to non-chain restaurants for birthdays/occasions. I honestly find better value going to a place like South Block and ordering a platter and taking leftovers home for cheaper than 2 adult meals and 3 kids meals at Montana's.
I've been lucky that my kids aren't that picky so we even partake in sushi places which isn't as good value, but way better than the ultra-processed cheeseburger from a chain that tastes like carboard with salt.
Great, now I'm hungry.

BP's is #### pre-made or pre-prepare garbage food, it ranks up there with Red Lobster and Olive Garden.
Complete and utter crap and I seriously question those people that willingly eat it when there are other options.

I would never block an intersection. I do have good spatial awareness, though, so can tell if there's room for me and others without blocking the intersection.
Here's a diagram to illustrate one example of how a smart person does it versus how a dope does it:
Now...are you blocking the intersection? Maybe, but in a way that has to be done otherwise - during rush hour - nobody turning onto the main road would ever get through. You're not blocking opposing traffic, though, but this is how it must be done to prevent people from being trapped on a side road. The dopes in this scenario must be honked at or they freeze up and nobody gets home.
