I look forward to the playoffs every year, to have them ruined like this is just disgusting. I don't want to watch these pieces of #### anymore, our hope is Dallas takes care of Winnipeg first and ends this nightmare.

was really hoping I’d be able to watch the conference finals stress free but it appears that won’t be the case. Unbelievable no team seems to want to neutralize pissy or mcdingus by driving them through the boards once in awhile. Makes me sick

Come on Vegas. Win the next one!

Same boat. My hate for that team and city is so strong I’m not watching due to the lack of effort by Vegas. I have to go there for daughters competition next week Wed-Sun I was hoping they would be out by the time we got there.
Need Vegas to wake up

CP generally can tell me how things are going, with some bonus theatrics lol.
Don't need to watch the SN panels relishing a team of scumbags and criminals. Gives similar vibes to dictator Trump smugly showing off his latest law-circumventing executive order.
|
All I have to do is check the game thread and if I see Rejean31 has posted I know its not going well at that point in time so I don't bother checking.

Oilers and Carolina are the two most dominant teams so far this playoffs. Looks like a 2006 rematch is on the cards. Except this year I don’t see the oilers faltering.
They made a very good Vegas team look like draft lottery fodder.

Just like last year, the further they go, the more it will hurt them and their fanbase.

Granted I did not watch, but no PIMs in the third period? Were the Golden Knights in a hurry to get home? Yikes.

Metro was terrible this year. New Jersey had no business being in the playoffs and Washington plays a regular season style that doesn't work in the playoffs. I would bet the winner of Florida-Toronto will be in the finals, especially if it's Florida.

With Oilers most likely moving on to WCF we really need Panthers to win so that Cuthbert and Simpson call that series. I know still not the best but a way better option then monster truck

Meh starting to realize if they win the cup I really wouldn’t care. It will just be really hard to avoid the constant mainstream news and internet garbage that will accompany an EDM championship for weeks.

I'm guessing Cuthbert calls it no matter what. In fact he likely has it in his contract that he gets the finals.

He means that if it was Oilers-Stars & Panthers-Canes that Cuthbert would do the Oilers series.
If it was Oilers-Stars & Leafs-Canes, Cuthbert does the Leafs series.

The Stars aren't going to beat the Oilers, just like last year.
It's all in on the Canes! Hope they beat the Caps and Leafs early so they can rest to face the Wonder Twins!

Glad I’m not a Vegas fan. After being gifted that 0.5s goal in Game 3 to shock EDM the Knotts didn’t even show up in Game 4. If it was the Flames we would be going nuts questioning the heart of the team etc.

Maybe we hope for Buffalo Bills type situation. 4 straight finals losses.

I don't. But I thought Vegas was better than the Kings and if not for a goal with 0.4 seconds left, this series could have been a sweep.
(I also acknowledge it could be tied 2-2 if Vegas got the job done in OT, emotions run both ways.)
Dallas should be able to beat Edmonton. One of these teams took steps to make their team better, and one took steps to make their team worse since they last met.

Actually though. Oilers fatigue is real.
A collection of gross humans overachieving in part due to opponents inexplicably just.. not doing all the good things they were doing all year to get there. Playing down and giving a two man team too much respect.
Either someone figure it out and punt these losers already or regress and go back to the abyss of darkness where you belong.
Having to see Perry, Kane and Nurses mugs on the TV this time of year is repulsive.
Like Kassian, they'd be the types serving time for something if it weren't for hockey.

I saw Vegas as being up there as a team that could beat the Oilers even if they weren't or aren't as good as Dallas.
But we did this last year. Dallas can beat them! Dallas petered out. Could Dallas of this round win? Probably. Will Dallas after the Winnipeg series if they advance? Who knows.

Vegas got the road split, game 2 is the backbreaker IMO...especially with the non call with the Oilers scoring a minute later. I though Vegas would be better too but they have yet to look great these playoffs.
Pacific braket certainly seems like the weakest again, I get that Dallas blew it last season but they didn't have Rantanen. If Vegas pulls off the comeback I don't think they will beat Dallas or even Winnepeg either.
Not to mention Hill is as big a bum as Skinner. Two worst goalies in the playoffs right now.
