It's crazy how Alpine thought they had Piastri locked up...and now he's looking like he might run away with the drivers title with McLaren. No way he's anywhere close to this success had he signed with Alpine.

We’ve seen no shortage of guys make poor career decision decisions in the last few years. Piastri made a genius move going to McLaren.
For all the hate Miami gets, and I’m not immune to making fun of it, it’s produced pretty good races the last couple years. McLaren ran away with it in the second half of the race but there was some really good wheel to wheel racing going on out there.
I also find it hilarious that once again we get a dozen radio messages from the teams saying rain is x minutes or x laps away and inevitably it never comes. Such a tease.

I suspect Colapinto might get that Alpine seat. There were rumors of this change before the season started.

Did these at mach speed...BIG changes at the top this week.
Congrats to FleuryisGod who won the week with 5 slotted and a perfect top 10, season high 30pts in a week. Well done! P2 was TimSJ who went 4 slotted and a perfect top 10 as well.
Overall those two also take over P1 + P2 from me and Powederjunkie (should've kept your pics, haha).

Heard about this today...some very cool phase change materials that McLaren may be using on their brakes. Basically it can absorb a HUGE amount of heat without changing temperature. Keeps the tires in their optimal range without overheating.

That would explain their race pace, they don't need to baby sit their tires as much. Verstappen can outqualify or keep up with the McLarens during qualifying, but the RB21 drops off on race pace.
