Just watched the clip where he says this, and it doesn’t seem to have anything to do with Canada at all. Only that he first teased the “earth shattering announcement” during the photo op with Carney when he was blathering on about a number of different things. But I don’t think he was specifically talking about Canada.

I guess the empty ports and the empty shelves made Trump panic, so he chickened out as usual and pulled back on the tariffs. It’s hilarious that they’re trying to claim this as some kind of win when China didn’t give anything up.
I imagine the renegotiation of USMCA will be something similar, where things will basically just revert back to what they were before the tariffs, and then Trump will claim it as a big win for the U.S. It’ll be “the greatest, bestest trade deal ever!” Until he breaks it again of course.

At least when JT was PM, the new guy though is ok so far.
