Ehh not sure about that.
Lots of missed calls both ways, and it's been pretty equal IMO. Well except the embellishment call being maybe the most egregious bad call ever but Panthers got a PP shortly after on a call that hasn't went the other way.
I think your bias here is just as much as those Leafs fans in the arena you keep complaining about.

3rd pair of Kulkov and Schmidt have been pretty crap tonight. Wouldn't be surprised to see Balinskis back in next game for one of these guys.

That embellishment call is worth at least 3 non-calls the other way. Just the worst thing I've ever seen, in a playoff game no less.

It's working though.
Reminds me a bit of Flames - Oilers series.
Let them cycle on the outside and not generate a lot, but then when you can catch them on the counter they give up a grade A chance and you have good finishers.

Not really.
In the end it's still worth 2 minutes the other way, because it's still just a 2 minute penalty that was missed.
Even though it was HORRENDOUS

It could have been 5 and a game. I've seen far less dangerous hits get that as a call. But let's say it's a 2 minute boarding call at the very least. They call 2 minutes of embellishment the other way instead.
Again, it's a huge momentum changer in a game.
