Technically, Dino is a Snorkasaurus.
Snorkasaurus, as depicted in The Flintstones, are shown to be carnivores. They are observed chewing bones and chasing small animals, suggesting they are meat-eaters. Maybe the OG undomesticated ones. Them domesticated Brontosaurus pets likely got a taste for the meats since then cavemen are all about the flame broiled dino meats.
