Am I the only one hoping that Kikuchi pitches a perfect game tonight?

He'll take no-hitter into the 9th when Nathan Lukes reaches on a swinging bunt/dribbler off the end of the bat scored an infield hit.

God bless all of you that still watch this hot mess created by shatkins. Idk how these guys have planted themselves so securely within the ownership group but this organization is deeply dysfunctional. Its actually insane how bad this franchise is being run into the ground. This management group has shown zero ability to draft and develop pitching, their two best bats were drafted and developed by the last gm, every single first round pick since they have been in charge has been an unmitigated disaster and not on the roster. They let Semien go and he plays a vital role in winning a world series, they let Teoscar go and he plays a vital role in winning a world series. They then get made to look absolutely foolish chasing two Japanese players in successive off seasons, being used as leverage when every report out there said they were going to the Dodgers. They literally had the same exact play book that Ohtani used tried on them again the next off season and they still walked right into it like complete neanderthals. They must be the biggest laughing stock amongst gms.
Im sure i missed even more stuff about how incompetent these two losers running this franchise are but its absolutely absurd. I have admitted on here before that I am not a huge baseball fan, fell in love with the 2015 team which got me back into the sport. I only really follow the Blue Jays and am admittedly am no expert, but I genuinely am ####ing floored with how bad the Jays front office is. Shatkins feels like the baseball equivalent of if Peter Chiarelli and Jim Benning were running a franchise together. It would be absolutely hilarious if it wasn’t for the team i cheer for.
Good luck to all of you who continue to watch, i honestly do not know how you do it

Lol. I'd also accept a Kirk inside the park home run.

I can't really blame them for Semien. I don't think he had any intention of re-signing and always intended on going back to the States.

I see nothing in this team that tells me it's any more than a 77 win team.

We seem barely even capable of winning a game in a series.

It would make a lot of sense for Jays to punt Schenider on this trip.
Most of the Toronto media are now planning the Leafs parade up 2-0 in the second round, Jays this week have games start at a very inconvenient time for Eastern creep and bums.
Look, it's not the manager's fault. It wasn't his fault when bats started going cold 2 months before the playoffs 2.5 years ago. It was his fault for pulling Berriois in those playoffs by not standing up against analytics. It hasn't been his fault for the dabbling around the edges of free agency the last 2 offseasons giving the team an unbalanced roster.
But results are the name of the game in MLB and for a top 6 payroll in the league these last years, the results haven't been even close to acceptable. Yes it's Atkins and Shapiro's fault for the approach, but in season those moves aren't officially made, it's the manager who has the day to day control and gets the axe.
The only hesitation Atkins and Shapiro have and have had is because they punt the manager, the spotlight gets directed at them next.
But, to save the season and get some consistently, the Jays need to be stable by early June, and certainly not behind...losing 11 of 15 isn't going to play much longer. His voice has to be losing impact in the room, and sometimes a shakeup from a reset gets things back in focus and on the right track.
To minimize press and PR impact, moving on from the manager as Toronto sports is consumed dreaming about the Leafs with the Jays 3500 miles away in LA or Seattle makes some sense.

Little is the funniest pitcher I’ve ever seen
I’ve never seen a pitch hit 8 feet in front of home and hit and guy , or a pitch hit the ground and go over the backstop
And they both happened in the same inning
