It's been like this since I changed over and we keep getting told fixes are on the way. Last night I timed it and my feed was 1:05 behind the Score app. Which I'm sure has a delay in and of itself. I recognize nothing is truly live and could handle a small delay. But this is too much.
So, I'm pondering switching back to Rogers. Considering sports is one of my last reasons for not cutting the cable, this is unacceptable to me. Is there any major delay or issues with live sports on Roger's? Or any other major concerns I should consider before potentially switching back. Thanks in advance.

There is definitely a delay, though I haven't measured it. I was watching hockey last night in my garage (Fire Stick) and the Oilers scored, and then I came into my house and saw the goal again on my actual Shaw box connected to the TV. So at least a 20-30 second delay between those two devices, and I have no idea how much of a delay from "live". I would imagine that it is similar to Telus, but couldn't prove it. I was actually surprised that the Fire Stick was earlier than the actual Shaw box.
I am a frequent "time shifter" (record & start late to catch up), so my notifications are all off for sports things. I just have the reminder of the game starting for the Flames (or on a game-by-game basis if watching to watch another team) and that's it.
I am guessing that it isn't so much notifications for you (who needs notifications when you're watching it), but rather checking stats throughout the game. So I get it, but I don't have a solution for you unfortunately.
