Are Minnesota and Calgary still the only teams that have never won a lottery? Didn't last long for Utah. Though I don't think Arizona ever won one.

I don't think Vancouver has won a draft lottery...Even in their inaugural season, they lost on a spin of the wheel to Buffalo who selected Gilbert Perreault. The Canucks got Dale Tallon.

Won a lottery? The Flames have never drafted top three. They've drafted inside the top five once.

it is just so perfect - and even expected - that the Flames went down to the last ball with a shot to move up, but got snubbed by Utah, who's fate also hung on a single number, but of course they won, in their first ever lottery.
