I've got no problem with the Isles winning a pick. They've been languishing in the mid-level status for a looooong time now, and really haven't done anything noteworthy since Tavares left. But, they haven't ever come close to tanking and compete hard every single year. It's a proud franchise that could really use a boost of enthusiasm. I think this is great for those fans.

MTL getting 16 and Flames drafting 18 is hard to be too upset by.
A lot easier to stomach than if it was 11th and the Devils went a couple of round.
