I am surprised more people aren't hurt from these things. Booze + fast moving metal object = not good. Or so I would have thought.

Hi everyone, I would like to let everyone know that this is my friend's brother. He is currently being kept on life support, but the doctors believe he's basically passed on. Please pray for this family and my friend Andrea.

Those things look so easy, but there is so much potential for damage. I have a permanent bruise on my arm from my ride three years ago. I'm very sorry to hear about this accident.

From the news reports I've watched, apparently this wasn't a case of the guy riding it; apparently he was standing or sitting beside it and it accidentally got turned on- whacking him in the head.
For me- Stampede is all about corporate parties and getting as much free food and booze as I can. I can just see this guy as being somebody like me; just there to have a good time and then all of a sudden you go from socializing to life support. Kinda hits home.
Bruce- my thoughts and best wishes go out to your friend and his familly.

Oh wow, what a bizarre accident. A bull I can understand, but he was just standing beside a mechanical horse?
I really hope everything turns out okay.

What a terrible accident. It is a lesson to everyone that we should always try to be aware of our surroundings. What an awful time of year for this to happen, our city is supposed to be celebrating.
