An interesting Sprint race, for a change

SCs have ruined the exciting races, and we can't get one to save the boring ones. Would have been interesting to see Lando on softs vs Oscar on meds. I wonder if this means that Oscar has an extra set to play with this afternoon?

Not that it really matters because of the SC snake, but 10s is way way way too lenient for that unsafe release by RBR. Causing a collision in the pits right beside mechanics and preventing another driver from pitting? 10s Stop&Go at a minimum. But I wouldn't even say a DSQ is too harsh. Not sure 'precedents' ever really matter that much, but that's an absurd precedent to set

At some point this season I’m going to pick Antonelli to win a race.

Antonelli taking a quali point in the team battle versus Russel was not ony bingo card, doubly so by race 5.

Big quali for Williams. Hopefully Lando has his elbows up vs Piastri and Verstappen tomorrow. If it's a wet race, Max has this in the bag. Although Lando looked legit fast in the sprint.

Another tasty set up for a good race. So I expect a slow burn that gets ruined by a red flag just before a few different strategies are about to converge. Looks like rain is very likely at some point in the afternoon, so that should spice it up

I've just started the sprint race. Why the hell doesn't F1 invest in some Air Titans?! They would have blown the majority of the water off so that the cars could handle the rest.

Don't think that start deserves an "Oh Lando" comment. Verstappen lost grip and slid into Lando.

Lando getting within 4 seconds is a tease. Cutting the gap down 4 seconds is mega but how much is that Lando driving his tail off and vs Piastri just enjoying a fun Sunday drive.

Either way that's a solid recovery drive for Lando today.

my favourite part was a fan running down the track at the end of the race to the podium presentation grinning holding his phone. Pure joy.

Ferrari is so God Damn funny. They lost 0.8s on each swap and finished 1.5 behind. But of course they did like 4 laps with the hards in front early when they sucked and at least another 4 with spent mediums leading when the hards came into form. Brilliant.

I think I would've hit on all of P5-8 if it weren't for that pesky Albon. The top 4 seem pretty inevitable now, but it's still hard to nail them down. Shirley Norris has to be due soon, but Oscar has now surpassed his career win total and it kinda feels like he might be putting him into the Webber-zone.

Piastri’s personality is a huge asset. He’s completely unflappable.
