Well, Vegas has a deeper team than both Kings and Grease Pigs and Cassidy is way better coach than both Hiller and knob so he will not play 2 lines as soon as Grease Pigs double shifting the Grease Twins. Vegas's goalie might not be elite, he is better than both of Grease Pigs goalies.

BTW, this is what I keeping telling myself for my mental health.

A third period hat trick and 4 pointer against the team that moved on from him, in game 7?
Yeah that’s the stuff of playoff legends.

Um.....oh....I see, you said more than 10 million.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.

When it comes to sports...never underestimate the power of Spite.

That was not a hat-trick. That was a hate-trick.

OK good job Dallas, but are you going to become useless like you were last year? We might need you in the third round to play like a contender so if you're going to roll over then please do us a favour and bow out to the WPG/STL winner.

The team coming out of the central bracket needs to not suck this year.

You gotta give it to Rantanen. He beat the "carried by Mackinnon" allegations

Bobrovski makes a AAV of 10. Vegas had Eichel making 10 as well. Find me a player making more than 10 per year the season his team won the cup.

It will happen soon with salaries going up. But since MacKinnon graduated from that ultra sweetheart 6.38 per year salary...the Avs are not the same.

The Avs are still very good but two good teams played and only 1 could win

Quite honestly the goal off Girard’s skate was the difference, that puck was whiffed on by both guys, and I suspect the hockey gods think they are funny but they are not

Didn’t see the game but that better have been a legit penalty call with three minutes to go in a tied game 7.

I don’t trust NHL officiating one bit and I imagine Avs fans are furious.

This is the other concern. Hope Dallas is 100% healthy if they are the backup plan (behind Vegas) to stop the Oilers.

Drury legit tackled Seguin in front of the net and the puck wasn’t even close. It wasn’t a garbage call

That third period is going to give nightmares to every GM thinking about trading away one of their stars, and has a good chance of becoming an evergreen anecdotal example of a player sinking their old team. Oh, and it's also apparently the first ever game 7 third period hattrick in NHL history.

Rantanen had been an extremely visible force on the ice before he actually hit the back of the net, and that's how you end up with "fluke" goals

That 2nd goal is nothing compared to MacKinnons game winner in the last game after all.

Edit: here's another weird data point:
Rantanen scored a hattrick in both the first and last game of Colorados season (The first game was also a loss, against Vegas.)

How about 11 points in the last 3 games?

I could care less who wins the cup and wouldn’t be surprised with any of the teams that are left.

But someone has to beat out the greasers. That’s all I really care about.

I thought the weakest first round teams were LA and NJ. So I’m hoping the grease fire’s lack of D and goaltending starts to really penalize them go forward.

The Oilers have to be the oldest team in the league. I think their window is closing soon. A steady decline to the NHL hinterland should start next season. If McDavid decides to head to greener pastures they will be in big trouble.

In fairness, he admitted this take was covered in salt. His last 3 games will go down as one of the best individual performances in the playoffs ever, squared because of the trade and who he did it to.
