A half goal per game is a huge difference.

Oh, I know. They add up. But it's not "oh that team is fun based on all the extra goals and this one isn't". It's not that much differenrt game over game. Calgary scored 3 and Edmonton scored 3.5 on average.

Everybody is my dog's newest best friend. He is so excited to meet and greet anyone and everyone, but now that you brought this up I realized that my dog completely ignores this clown.

As I noted in the blues jets game thread, if I never hear that song again it'll still be too soon. I feel like whoever is making the ads for sportsnet needs reining in. Same with the silly curling ad.

Edmonton is fun because they are in the final 8. Winning is fun.

Although this was the most enjoyable Flames season I've had in years. There is nothing like a bunch of hard working overachievers.

Casual fans like flipping on SN "oilers universe central" and watch highlight reel goals. That usually consists of McDraisatl pulling off some sort of theatrics.



Casual fans also like cheering for a team that makes it in the playoffs because it's a reason to go out and be entertained. The Calgary flames are not providing any entertainment right now unless you are following the draft lotto.



It's entertainment for the majority of casual fans at the end of the day. They pick the team that gives them that. It's not a difficult concept.

Shrugs, I personally enjoy low scoring "boring" defensive hockey the flames play. It's playoff style hockey. I also think coronato is as exciting of a player to watch compared to Draisatl or mcdavid.
