Nah they are probably even worse off. The Canucks, for now at least, have Hughes on their team. The Kings have not one elite player, perfect example of a fools gold season. They will be worse next year, potentially much worse after this sort of implosion. I admittedly do not watch them much outside of when they play the Flames and was surprised they had as good of a season as they were. Their roster leaves a ton to be desired, especially with kopitar and doughty on a steep decline.

LA plays like scared. If you can't outplay Loser's bottom lines, how LA win the game. Some people said LA built a team specially for PO games against Losers, but I don't see it. And their coach chose the wrong strategy.

Byfield could still develop into something special, he's only 22. He's got potential. Has to work on some things though, like consistency.
As for the rest, how long do you run with the guys like Kempe, Fiala? Good players, but not elite and not getting any younger. And not winning in the playoffs.

Byfield & Kempe are good, but not elite.
Kopitar & Doughty were elite, but are done.
They have a very mediocre roster; I don't think it's any better than Calgary's.

Every time I check the score and see an oilers goal, I expect it's an oilers PP goal by you-know-who and his idiot sidekick. Nope.

Even their scrubs are scoring tonight- Henrique, Frederic. I'd actually rather it was the McTwit twins show tonight... Because now here comes the 'our team is really deep' talk from the grease pig fanboys... with LA shortening their bench.

Now I'm really p*ssed at the kings for this choke. I hope they suck for the next ten years. Had the oilers on the ropes, oilers defense was particularly bad in the first few games, fake IR players were rusty, Skinner was terrible. Ripe for the picking. Now they choked and let the oilers off the mat. Their long rested fake IR players are getting more comfortable, Pickard has been at least average, even their plugs are contributing. Golden opportunity to shut those idiots up squandered.
