Honestly this might be the biggest loser team in the NHL. They got up 2 goals last game and have completely given up since that.

Doughty is well beyond his expiry date, he just can't keep up, he's got enough experience to generally be in the right places but the puck just gets by him before he can react.

Vegas is one of the few teams you can rely on to show up and play like a seasoned playoff contender.
They will lose games but they're great at bouncing back and don't crumple mentally, especially around specific teams.
Just look at how they broke through against the wild when minny potentially had them on the ropes in gane 4 with a lead in the 2nd period and up 2-1 looking to go 3-1. Knights "dug in' and got the result and swung the series the other way.
Their B team in a meaningless game put up the best fight of any team the Flames played down the stretch.
They won't give the oilers any respect out there and will be a pack of honey badgers. That's how the kings started out here, but then reverted to their old, scared selves as soon as a result went sideways on them.
I hate them for being annual doormats for 4 years straight. The Flames rebuild squad would fare better.

Agreed.
Not to mention that they can actually give their fourth line meaningful minutes.
Whitecloud and Hague can also play important minutes and give rest for the top defenders.
With that said, let's hope that LA can get their mojo back somehow and force a game 7. Go Kings!

I want to see them hit the Grease Twins over and over again and if Dirty pigs like Perry and Kane does anything to their players, I want to see them do the same to the Grease Twins.

The Oilers play 97 and 29 a ton of minutes. LA responds by shortening their bench to avoid their 4th line getting stuck against those two and as a result they can't keep up. You need to be able to roll all your lines if you want to wear down those two. Otherwise it's just two of the top players against your top guys all game and who wears out faster.
Playing scared to lose is also a poor way to go, you need everyone contributing and playing the Oil hard. If you let them all skate around and fire the puck it doesn't end well.
I still think LA has a very slim chance to come back from this, but not if they keep jumping at their own shadow.

If LA does come back I think Vegas will beat them too assuming its them. Not just being an Oiler hater I just think Vegas has better depth than either.

This series is over. It was over the second that moronic coach challenged the goal. Hiller is the Stan Van Gundy of the NHL - he's the master of panic.

I’m genuinely curious why their fanbase is like that?
They are only 3 hours up the road from us but it really feels like it’s a different world there.

It’s simple. They’re no good just like the team.

The Kings just need to go full Ekblad on McDavid or Draisaitl. I’m sure they’ve got a big defenceman they can afford to lose for two games. The NHL has pretty clearly established that they don’t want to punish those kinds of plays why not take advantage of it?

Garrett just said the Oilers took a page from the King's book last night.
I don't know what he's talking about. They didn't stop playing in the third and were actually able to score on an empty net.

If you can play either of Kopitar and Danault against them, then the rest is on you. Should be better at home with ability to control matchups

Hellenius. Big LA d-man and feisty- he was after Klapka during the 4 nations break when the wranglers played the reign. Not sure if he’s been a healthy scratch or just not playing minutes. Sick him on those two. If he gets suspended, oh well.

this is the second fight where one of them persists in holding onto his beer as he tries to intimidate the other person. and both times the person got hit. I hope that there was no permanent damage.
