I'm not a fan of Skinner or anything, I think he is very average in general and probably should be a back-up on most teams. Heck, I don't care what fancy stats say, I'd put him 3rd at best on the Flames depth chart. There is also something annoying about his demeanor and mannerisms.
But man, does he ever get hung out to dry sometimes.
On a different topic, did anyone else catch it on CHED after the last game when they said that the Kings have been thinking about the Oilers all year long while the Oilers never started thinking about the Kings until playoffs started? The amount of self congratulating BS they display is astonishing. Or was it on the SN broadcast... I don't recall. They are all blowhards.

I think this could be one of those games where the Oilers are flopping all over and the officials oblige which would tilt the ice in favor of the home team. A close, low scoring game plays into the Kings favor because they have the edge in goaltending and team defense and it also likely means that a lot of penalties aren't getting called. Getting the first goal would be huge for the Kings as you want the doubt creeping into the heads of the Oilers and from there's it's just a matter of focusing on not giving McDavid a lot of ice and waiting for the inevitable Oilers defensive breakdowns.

If they go down a few early, I don't doubt that McDavid and Draisatl will be over 30 minutes by the end of the game.

100%. The Oilers are also masters of taking advantage of the hometown line matchups. I'm hoping the Kings' centre depth can mitigate that.
