Harry Potter
ok, is anyone else on CP as excited as I am about the 7th book? I cannot wait to see what happens, especially with Jk Rowling saying that 2 major characters will die...
my death predictions
Draco dies saving Hermione or Neville
Snape is actually a good guy even though he killed Dumbledore
Sirius Black is not actually dead (what a perfect ruse to keep the ministry off of him and not let Harry get to attached)
Neville kills Voldermort
Neville dies

Someone loves Neville. Wow.
I am excited for the book, but seeing as how I have the six previous ones all in soft-cover, I will be waiting a while. I am trying to get someone to let me borrow the hardcover so that I can read it before the paperback comes out.

Hermoine wakes up in the last scene and hears the shower running. She opens the door to find a naked Patrick Duffy who tells her it was all a dream.
Oh wait.

Well the thing with Neville is that the prediction says that a boy born at the end of July will kill voldermort,...Voldermort just assumed it was Harry even though Neville was born at the end of July as well and so since everyone is focusing on Harry potter no one assumes Neville... AHA

I read the first book when I was like 12 or 13, and I haven't been able to stop reading them since.
I'm SO looking forward to this one, but a large part of me is kind of sad that this will be the end.
As far as predictions go, I will make these ones:
Dumbledore isn't actually dead! It was all just an elaborate illusion conjured up by Snape to grant Voldemort false security and lure him into attacking Hogwarts. Snape will die saving Harry, and I'm also thinking that Draco may also die trying to stop his dad from attacking Harry.

Certainly excited for the book. I was in Ireland when Order of the Phoenix came out. We were going home the next day and had a copy on order and waiting for us at home but we couldn't resist and purchased a couple of copies for the plane ride home.
The first time Rowling said a main character was going to die was when Sirius bit it. Not who I'd call a major character so i don't much trust what she says. She's a master of fanning the flames of discussion.

thats what I thought too, but apparently JK Rowling said that Dumbledore is dead and will not come back to life... but she refused to comment on Sirius Black

Is it too obvious that the last horcrux is Harry (or Harry's scar)? And that in order to defeat Voldemort Harry has to kill himself? Of course, you would assume that Voldemort knows where he hid chunks of his soul and would make trying to kill Harry kinda dumb. Unless you consider that, if the prophecy is true, Harry is the only one that can defeat Voldemort it may be worthwhile to sacrifice a piece of yourself to get rid of your nemesis?
The biggest question mark, however, is whether you buy a book for each of you and your wife or share a copy?

I think Snape had the unbreakable vow or something so I think Dumbledore really is done.

HOLY BALONEY!!!! I never thought about that - it makes perfect sense!!! Avada Kadavra never leaves a mark but it left one on Harry AND Harry can feel Voldermorts feelings and see what he is doing... fredr123 you are a genius!!!
my predictions Harry dies and I think that Draco will die trying to save someone as well.

I think that Harry kills Voldemort and becomes the new head of the Death Eaters.
That would be a great ending.

You do know that Richard Harris, who was the original actor for Albus Dumbledore in the first two movies, died, right?
I thought that Richard Harris was the perfect Dumbledore. Michael Gambon, who took over for Prisoner of Azkaban, is good but not as convincing as Harris was.

Having been through this with Goblet of Fire, Order of tthe Phoenix and Half Blood Prince the answer is easy.
Buy one for each.

I'm guessing sometime in this final book.
There seem to be hints and little clues that when actually exposed to what Death eaters do it is starting to bother Draco a bit.

Harris was the perfect Dumbledore, his replacement has not boded as well for me. In the 4th movie he kept shouting, he looked mad all the time and he practically attacked Harry ( when Harrys name came out of the triwizard cup), he doesn't have a sparkle in his eye.his beard is grey and I personally though it didn't do dumbledore justice

I'm just basing that on the fact that Draco couldn't kill Dumbledore
