Ha ha ha so tempting. One voice in my head is telling me that I really need to do this again for the 3rd time, and the other voice is asking me if I really need to commit to such an undertaking.
The Oblivion remaster is pretty impressive. You definitely need a current GPU to push it to its fullest. I played until I got to the first Oblivion Gate, which looked amazing. I remember the gates started feeling repetitive after awhile so I’m not sure if I’ll commit to a full play through, but I’m glad they put the effort in and hope we get similar remasters for Morrowind and other old Bethesda games.
Haha I was playing squad last night and all of the chat was about the oblivion remaster. It's entering meme territory apparently!
Kind of unfortunate for the developers of Clair Obscur, that the Oblivion announcement came out of nowhere exactly when it was being released as going by the reviews it seems like a pretty good game that may end up overshadowed.

game already got some backlash after the first trailer because it's a female protagonist. So tired of this ####.
It's the internet and forums these days. It's the same for whatever is new or popular. Star Wars, the Last of Us, new games, etc. unhappy unpleasant people just want others to be unhappy.

it's just fascinating to me ... it seems like people are actively looking for reasons to dislike games, which is the complete opposite of what the medium is supposed to do.
I mean, I understand if people dislike a game. Take TLOU2 ... I enjoyed the crap out of it, it's one of my favourite video games ever, but I completely understand that it's not for everyone. But with many new games, it seems a lot of people will happily look for ways to hate them before they are even released. I just don't get it.

Gamergate allowed for the creation of a public safe space for those chuds to cry about women in games, minorities, LGBTQ, etc. Anything really that's not a white male protagonist. Pathetic little grubs best left in the dark; squirming and writhing under the rocks they call their homes.
First game I've bought since Destiny 2's Final Shape DLC last summer. Only had enough time to get through the prologue but I'm loving it so far.
I did a lot more research on the game yesterday and now I'm sitting at work anxious to go home so I can start playing. The acclaim from reviewers has been astonishing. The only knocks I've heard is more preference i.e. the turn-based system might not be for everyone. BG3 taught me turn-based systems can be insanely fun. Hell, they even have Andy Serkis as a prominent voice actor through the game. Seems like a strong GOTY contender.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a gorgeous game. The combat is very similar to recent Atlus games like Metaphor: Refantazio. It's turn based but you can boost attacks by hitting A at the right time, and you can dodge or parry enemies in real time.
I only found out about it from this thread. They're former Ubisoft devs who wanted to create something new, and I think they've succeeded. I highly recommend it.
If you want to get it on PC then Fanatical has the best price and you can get a free game with it.

Crazy that this is their first game? 30-40 people? Wild.
And Fanatical gives you a 5% discount coupon for future purchases in the next month (that I may or may not forget about all the time).

What's sweet is that I have a great deal on game pass ultimate. A friend of mine got some cdkeys and then we somehow shared that account between two xboxes.. costs us like 8 bucks a month each! Looking forward to this one

I didn't know it was on GamePass.. and here I was just thinking of ending that so I could switch to Ubisoft for a while to play some games there. Installing now!!!
