Holy crap. Watched the Eulogy episode tonight with Paul Giamatti. Fataing masterpiece. Zero chance he doesn’t win awards after that. Better than San Junipero. I think people get scared of black mirror because they think it just says ‘technology is bad’. It does not do that at all. Tech was almost a footnote to that one. It’s about humans and making mistakes and deep regret and screwing up and emotions making you not see things and stubbornness.

Yup. Just as good as the original. Kingpin and Bullseye are both very scary MCU villains I hope we see them in some other stuff.

Excellent scenery, but the plot is a little thin.

I watched Black Mirror once, and that was enough. An old english couple tortured people in the basement. Too disturbing.

You're lucky you didn't watch S1E1.

Fair enough, I am also not a hospital drama fan at all but the Pitt absolutely pulled me in. Loved that it was about the ER and not the Doctor's interpersonal relationships. I'm all in until it inevitably devolves into a drama haha

I think he might have accidentally tapped into your home webcam.

Anyways...Black Mirror is actually great, I like that a lot of the episodes really hold a mirror up to society (<-Hah! Mirror joke!).

How we view technology, how we use technology and how we might and the dangers thereof. I can think of tons of Black Mirror episodes where I'm sitting there thinking:

"Thats a little scary-close" or "Thats not that far off."

Like San Junipero or when society rated everyone for everything, just off the top of my head.

This season? A subscription to live? I could see it.

I stopped watching black mirror I think after S1E4. The one before it, with the eye rewind thing, had me very nearly off the edge. Then the people riding exercise bikes for points and having to pay to avoid ads in your cell made of TV screens, then one of those ads is the woman you love in a porno. No thanks.

It's all just a little too believable and unnerving.

That may as well be Black Mirror's pull-quote.

Like I said before...that one where society ranked and rated everyone for everything? That one was a little too on the nose boys.

I never watched that one. Now I want too. The show will disturb and then give hope. It’s basically the flames.

Eulogy and San Junipero are love stories that give you hope and are beautiful. Interracial, same sex, inter disability love made possible with technology, sounds ridiculous but awesome.

We started the Pitt last night (1.5 episodes in). While it’s entertaining does a story emerge from this? Or is all just ER action the whole time? I feel like I’ll be bored by the end of the second episode.

There is definitely story. There are arcs for the doctors, nurses, and some of the patients and their families. It's not quite like other medical dramas though because the "ER action" is the main focus, but I'd stick with it.

I liked it. It never lost me even when things got hectic.

My favourite of this season, for sure. PG is so good and, as you mentioned, the technology is merely a way to show our faults as humans. That typically when Black Mirror does its best work. Human's are ####, and technology is just another way to exploit our ####tiness.

Many people on Reddit hated this one. They suck.

The entire History of You is the "rewind" episode. Still one of my favourites and the one that lives rent free in my head.
