A friend recently had a pacemaker installed. Anyone know how this affects his travel medical insurance premiums? He’s in his 70s.

This is a tough question to give a straight yes/no answer. Travel policies (emergency medical) generally do not cover pre-existing conditions. They’re are also questions specifically about heart conditions and those could eliminate that coverage, or make getting a policy impossible depending on how recent these issues were.

I have a High Sierra Duffle that was a project award a few years back.

It has become my go to bag for travelling. It has a big rip along the zipper at one end.

Google searches recommend a bunch of Shoe repair shops but I dont know if its the right place for what I want.

Any other options in Calgary ?

Also look for tent and awning repairs or upholstery shops.

Doesn't Sliver do that kind of work? Maybe ask him? Even if he doesnt he might be able to point you in the right direction.

You may be thinking of the tent and awnings he plans to put up over his underground bunker.

Tents and awnings are not notorious for their abilities to repel nuclear blasts and/or combat invasions.

Its just really not their forte.

Its just the intrinsic and inherent properties of canvas. Its just not good at repelling deadly blasts and/or radiation. If you've got a problem with that take it up with the inventor of canvas!

IMAX. I find the seats at Chinook really uncomfortable so I hate going there even though it's better than Landmark's.

UltraAVX is still an upgraded experience compared to a regular theatre. Usually the seats are really nice, possibly even recliners.

Yah, I’ve had good luck with Done Right doing this type of work as well. Just a heads up, in the last 6 months or so they have moved locations.

I think Mclean creek might be an option? But it is pretty far for you. We could probably make it work on our property, but we are also not far from McLean Creek, so probably not much help.

Just got a sour cream and the best before is totally nonsensical.

Says “BB/MA 2025 AL 16”

Does tha mean best before may packaged on April 16? Why the fata would they make it confusing? Or is it April 16th?

“MA” is the french abbreviation for “Best Before”

For most of my childhood I thought meilleur avant was an event that happened every year, and that's when food went bad. I could never figure out when it was though.

I do wonder how many people thought that was the abbreviation for the month of May and were just throwing food out.
