I like Ras the player but dayum, his interviews over the last couple of years seem to have a much snarkier tone.

I would happily have him back but there's a tone there that suggests he wants a change. And, that's really fair.

Much more prepared coaching staff for each game from what he experienced with Flyers. Coaches dialed in. Lots of pregame work compared to Flyers. Took some getting used to.

Interesting. I heard he loves it here, grew up here, wants to stay here, but it's a business and with lots of youngsters pushing for spots and only so many slots for right handed D available on the team that might not be possible. Plus uncertainty about whether a contract extension can be agreed to.

Honestly it drives me crazy how this team allows guys to play hurt, shut him down if he's playing hurt.

Someone in the other thread mentioned Weegar as the future captain. Given how he’s evolved as a leader and player and with Huberdeau having had a really nice bounce back year the trade doesn’t seem nearly as bad as it once did. Flames finished 2 points behind the cup champs. Chucky who?

Huberdeau and Weegar have both been great since day 1. People only turned on them because of the weird obsession with Darryl Sutter. They said they wanted to enjoy coming to the rink smd some posters here talkong about having fun. When the team is having fun they are usually winning.

I also like Vladar and Wolf combo.

What a year by Kads, first almost half of the contract has been incredible really, 82 games in all 3 seasons, career high in goals in the 3rd season, a true leader who has taken playing with the youth movement and made it his mission and purpose. We are lucky to have Kadri!
