Great, now the next 10 pages will be filled with people explaining for the 37th time why that chart is completely misleading.

I think I'm just going to move to Ireland with no further critical thinking.

Canada should just take Ireland. They can become the 11th province. Premier Micheál Martin has a nice ring to it.

I was thinking that too..."lost liberal decade", "axe the tax", and "the liberals"
It was hard to listen to anything PP had to say by the time it reached halfway through the debate. What a buffoon

I don't get the people claiming Carney will be bad for the economy. He's an experienced and successful economist up against a guy who's an ideologue. If the economy was my only concern this election, it wouldn't even be a question, based on their resumes.
Maybe Carney will do other things you don't like, but do you seriously think he's running just to destroy his reputation?

The theory is he's going to do exactly what Trudeau did and also let environmental ideology stop any resource development.
It's a theory based on internet memes & attack ad soundbites that simple minds use to form their entire political understanding.
When you realize that's the entirety of information consumption for that group, it's easy to understand why they think that way.

Which is the proper procedure. I received the training last week for Deputy Returning Officer and that is how you are taught to do it.

I just thought, well, you could start folding the next ballot, which would take about the same time as someone voting. Doesn't matter much, I'm just one for optimizing my work!

I think it’s almost certain he continues to place a price on Carbon. He has stated he will. He will do so understanding the economic impact.

Really not a fan of Polievre, was fully intending to vote Liberal which I didn't think was possible a few months ago.
Now I'm seeing that the Libs are planning to rack up an additional 225 billion in debt while cutting taxes which is just stupid. That also includes 20 billion in tariff revenue this year alone that may not even be a thing depending on what the orange idiot decides to do next. Also depends on them finding tens of billions in "increased efficiency". So likely we'll see an additional 300+ billion in debt by the time the dust settles.
May not vote for the first time ever.

Then: Trudeau is just a drama teacher.
Now: Literally supporting the guy who got his federal MP pension at the age of 30 because he has never had a job outside of being a government lackey, all the while decrying the doctorate-level economist.

Yes, I agree and I think most Canadians do want climate change policies in the mix.
Somewhere between the Conservatives approach of no climate policies whatsoever and the Trudeau approach of climate policy over everything.

I've heard there seems to be a shortage of poll workers everywhere. I worked the advanced polls before but not this year because of prior commitments. You guys should do it, it's an easy $1000+ for 4 days (13 hours each), plus a training session a week before and a couple hours to count on election night. You guys are politically engaged so you'd like it.

Are you in a competitive riding? If not, maybe something you haven't considered is voting for one of the alternatives if they are the type of party you might support in the future? Give them a vote and some legitimacy. To me this is better than not voting. Something like the Canadian Future Party that Ben_in_Canda is running for? Maybe worth looking into anyway.

The only other parties in my riding are:
NDP - not a chance in hell
Green - not a chance in hell
PPC - not a chance in hell
Christians - lol, no
Communists - hell no
Never thought I'd long for an independant or Rhino candidate.

I went later last night in Chestermere and there was almost no one there. My family walked right up and voted.
Then we went for ice cream.

I signed up to work the polls (advance and voting day) and they never called me so YMMV on that.

I would assume that the Easter holiday maybe has something to do with a shortage? Many people travel to visit family and probably couldn't really commit to the early polling weekend because of that.
