I am still trying to find out if Rachel Gilmore did actually tell lies during the Convoy Saga. She seems like a solid progressive voice, but I am legitimately concerned she does the right wing grifter thing of espousing opinion and anecdote as fact. If anyone can help me find some sources on that whole saga I would be thrilled.

The rightwing dweeb wouldn't answer any questions about Rebel News and the scrum cancellation or if he would remove the Bank of Canada Governor.
Instead his nazi followers just applauded to drown out the journalists who weren't selected to ask the FOUR questions he takes a day! hahahahah
why the eff do CTV and CBC still cover his campaigns?

Fine. but then they have to put this disclaimer at the beginning of every segment about the Reform Party.
"CBC has not been able to ask a single question in the past 2 months because this sensitive little bitch cannot take criticism well. Rebel news will get 4 out of the 4 questions that is allowed at every press conference. We will not be able to ask him why him and his team are whiny little bitches."

Voted in Calgary Confederation at Aberheart. About 95 minutes total. If anyone else is headed to do the same, if your poll number is 607, you’re in for the longest wait. All the others (604-606) were probably under 15 minutes.

Polling map is goofy. There's a voting station across the street from me which I can go vote on the 28th but not advanced. So I've been watching people go into vote all day but I can't vote there. I gotta go more than 1km for mine.

My station in Varsity was nice and quick today. Less than two dozen people in there.

I waited 90 minutes in Whitby (45 mins outside Toronto). The place was packed. The advance poll was in a school but the parking lot was full so I wound up street parking and walking.

Took about an hour in Saddleridge this morning. Definitely need more poll workers, because the person taking your information always had to stop halfway through to deal with the ballot from the person in front of you. Also people who didn't have a voting card got to scoop the line, as they were taken in to register and then right over to their poll line, ahead of those in the general line who were waiting to get into the gymnasium where the poll lines were.
The workers were getting a lot of grief for things that weren't their fault, so they just kept encouraging everyone to fill out a feedback form at the end to complain about staffing levels.
It will be interesting to see if voting numbers are that much higher or staffing numbers were just that much lower.

The police denied the story she told was true, and there hasn't been much more about it. So either she was given mistaken information, or she made it up, or the police lied.
CTV was willing to have her fact-check before they got backlash. Right-wing media complains about her far-left bias.

Mine avoided that by just not doing anything until the ballot was returned.

I waited an hour. The dude figured it was his job to chat with everyone. I mean, points for being friendly but read the room full of people waiting their turn.
They should hire fast food workers who know how to do a routine job fast and efficiently.
