Oh there's a smell all right. There was a smell last season where the Oilers had 20 powerplays to the Kings 12. If anyone watched those games it's not like the Kings were as undisciplined as that may indicate as the officiating was straight up biased. This Kings team simply isn't good enough to overcome poor officiating.

They are the truck nuts of the NHL. A stain on our nation.

That's assuming he has any sense, and actually recognizes that his best shot to win is with a more competent organization elsewhere.

But those things have been in question with mcdavid for a while. I think his bromance with Leon, Big Bird and others takes precedent in his mind. He's set up a situation in EDM where his will reins supreme and he can get his friends flown in and paid by this simp organization.

It's not that he actually likes or enjoys spending months of the year in Edmonton, but that he's too wimpy to make the necessary change to get his career where he ultimately wants it. He'd rather hang out with the boys where every one answers to his beck and call and no one will tell him no, and out of convenience would rather try to make it work there in spite of the utter incompetence pervading management and ownership than go where he will have to fit into a winning teams identity and become the guy he has to in order to get the hardware he wants.

The Edmonton stink is deep in that guy.

That's a good metaphor. The trouble is, a lot of people in Edmonton will think it's a compliment.

Looking at the NBA schedule, the Lakers play at home on Saturday and Tuesday, so the Kings would play either Sunday-Wednesday or Monday-Wednesday, so it doesn't really matter.

I asked AI to generate Oiler branded truck nuts and it said "No thanks, would rather not".

Who else is readying themselves for the inevitable bandwagon oilers fans coming out of the woodwork? I should just get a shirt made that says ‘I’ll never cheer for the oilers and I hate them until the day I die, so don’t ask me’. That should take care of all the casual *sshats in their Mcdavid and Draisaitl jerseys.

Nice of the NHL to give the Oilers those extra days off to heal, always the thoughtful ones.

Particularly proud of them for only suspending Nurse one regular season game for his crosscheck to the back of the head of Byfield.

The NHL is definitely not biased, they treat everyone equally.

Oh yep, it’s time for all that Canada’s team bull####, and people around here rooting for the Coil because of Alberta. It’s gross.

Kings in 4, because Oilers Suck - and seeing them lose gm 4 at home would be so phenomenally glorious!

There are exactly two Canadian teams I'm rooting for in the first round: Winnipeg, because I have no particular reason to hate them, and Ottawa, because they are playing against the Leafs. The others can pound sand.

Jack Michaels, Louie DeBrusk, and Gene Principe will be the SN announcers for this series.

Might as well say it now, the Kings radio and TVA Sports crews will be way better than what SN is offering in this series.

Naturally. A booth of crows in heat would be a superior option. But SN will be great for the tears.

The MUTE button becomes the obvious option...or picking up the LA feed.

I'm fine with Montreal too, though I don't think they have a snowball's chance in hell.

Canada…yes on trade issues and sovereignty.

No on nhl. I think the only team I don’t have some level of grievance with is Ottawa mostly because they haven’t given me any reason (yet - but I’m sure it’s coming eventually).

LA. Just take out the trash.

No way, Montreal fans are as bad as Toronto fans (or even worse).

no, I want to be able to root for a generational Canadian centre scoring at Mario Lemieux type levels.

The Oilers losing McDavid would make them irrelevant anyways

For me, I'm rooting for the Jet in the first round because I hate the Blue, then Ottawa because of the Leafs (especially Treliving).
