It’s only been one game, but I’ve seen enough to know I’m watching a superstar in the making.

We just need to find that franchise center and I think we're set

At his current pace, he should pass Gretzky in... 894 more games.

Future stars tend to have an "effortless" quality to their game.
Zayne had an effortless quality to his game tonight. That's all I know.

His goal was the sort of goal 19 year old defensemen never score in their 1st game.

Forget that. NHL defensemen in general.
This guy may create his very own mold of player that future d-men are compared to.

Very cool to see him have a smile the whole game. He plays with a calmness that is very rare for a dman his age. He said he had no nerves before the game and it looked that way. I think the Flames hit a home run with this pick.

Best part of tonite is that Conny should stop fretting about what to do with Ras.
We need space and PP time for Parekh sooner rather than later.
It is simple. Get the best possible return for Ras in the offseason with retention.

He looks more like a rover. He was up in the play a lot. Coaches must have encouraged him to let it roll.

That's the way he plays. He is smart enough to know when to do those things and fast enough to get back. That's what makes him special, you can't put a leash on him.

I would play Zayne in the nhl purely for his defensive play, yaya he scored a goal but he was actually sick defensively. So many good sticks and reads and passes, just chooses the right play very effectively

Powerplay Quarterback

My 10 year old is a defenseman, and has been modelling his game after Cale Makar. When we drafted Zayne, he thought it was super cool the Flames had an Asian dman (As we are Chinese) He watched tonight, and said that Zayne might become his favorite player. Happy, well spoken, fun to watch, and dynamic. Whatever this kid does, he's inspired a boy to become better.
