That's why going through a proper primary is important. If AOC wins a long, genuine primary where there are 10 debates and super tuesday and all that and the Democrats vote her in, no shenanigans, that goes a long way towards legitimacy.

I am white but pretty Mediterranean looking. Kinda Greek/Italian - easily passable for an Arab.

Also have a foreign sounding name.

I can't believe we're having this conversation unironically in 2025.

You guys took all of our dumb people. We had a good run with the anti-vaxx/“vaccines cause autism” health nuts but y’all had to take them away from us during COVID so now they’re the far right’s problem now.

Dumber than MAGA. I want to hear this.

China created COVID, they're evil!
COVID doesn't exist so vaccines are fake

If you wanna both sides, many sides it then you are probably right, both sides, many sides have stupid people. But when the split is like 90/10, one side is clear much stupider than the other.

Ya but there's only one side that gives out high fives for owning the libs while their livelihoods collapse around them, so who's to say who the dumb ones really are.

But thats the mystery of "owning the libs". To most of us it's a puzzling concept, but since I don't know what joy it brings maybe I'm missing out. Like maybe conscripting oneself to abject poverty is actually worth it because the high of owning those libs is that good, who knows?

Same mentality as the insane conservative gunman who destroys other people's lives then his own when the swat team puts him down. I guess.

This guy nails the whole situation, I think.

I'm not sure how it is not clear that this woman is simply a Russian agent, or being paid under the table as one. Nothing but Russian talking points. In this clip, she is shut down by experts, but the problem is; that she should be sanctioned before she even opens her mouth.

It's amazing that a compromised political figure is just allowed to run rampant.

Yeah, I was making this point in the Canadian politics thread yesterday, but he does a better job of it.

Yes, for the love of god the democrats can't put another woman up for president. Like, JFC. And a minority one at that? Nothing would be dumber.

Sadly they can't put up the best person for the job, IMO,
Pete Buttigieg.

Again, Pete is wildly disliked by younger voters in his own party and represents everything independents hate about the Democrats. Dude is basically an NPC, grown in a lab by establishment Dems. He also has zero momentum with black voters.

I get that he's "eloquent," but beyond that there isn't much substance or policy ideas that would improve the material conditions of the working class.

FFS, he worked for McKinsey. Not to mention the racism allegations when he was mayor. The right-wing media machine would destroy him and almost guarantee low voter turnout for the Dems.

Again, I don't buy the US won't vote for a woman president. There was a woman vice president to a president who could have croaked anytime!

Not only that, but she was leading in the polls until they pivoted away from the weird stuff and put a muzzle on her in terms of criticizing Biden.

She might have probably still lost, but that campaign sucked.
