94-96 points is playoffs range, its a bad beat there will be worse teams in the playoffs

Heartbreaking. I'm so proud of this team, they fought and clawed all season and gave it their all. Deserved better, but still a fun season. The boys can go out with their heads held high.

This team gave consistently good effort all year, with just a few exceptions. Even after being eliminated, they kept playing hard and came back to win. I agree with all those who say they’re proud.

With the expectations for the team at the beginning of the season, to be in it right to the end was a great performance, disappointing as it is for them to come so close and miss.

That third period come back tells you all you need to know about this group this year.

I don't care what anyone says, I'll take a season where the team is playing meaningful, exciting hockey in game 81 of the season and ends in disappointment versus a team that is in the basement and stops playing meaningful games in November.

Great season, go out on a high on Thursday, continue to revamp in the offseason, bring in Parekh and other youngsters and hope for another exciting season next year.

Go Flames Go

It’s crazy that 94 points and maybe even 96 will not get you in the playoffs.

Valiant effort by the Flames over the last few weeks. They can hold their heads up high. Just fell a bit short. It was a big ask for the Ducks to win at the Wild. Very nearly pulled it off but it wasn’t meant to be.

But their play over the last couple of months bodes well for next season. I think good things are to come.

That was as loud as I have heard the Dome in quite sometime. The fans were giving the Flames all they could in cheers of support.

80.66 meaningful games of hockey. .33 of unabashed fun to close it out.

That's a great season, especially when you take a step back and look at the overall picture. This isn't a team that has under-performed. This was a season of exceeding expectations. How many of these seasons have we really seen in the last 20 years? I was (and still very much am) on the side of rebuilding, but I was smart enough to simply enjoy this ride.

This was an entertaining game. Sure, you can easily make the argument that Vegas came in without a handful of their very best players, and it still took the Flames until the shootout to win, but on the other hand, that's a bunch of fresh legs and hungry appetites being dressed for Vegas filling-in those spots too - not an easy game to win.

One more fun game this season. Hopefully the Flames call-up another deserving player from the farm for it to play alongside Parekh and Suniev. It will be nice to see a few pieces of the future.

Well that wasn’t enough to make it. Overall output wasn’t good enough to be a playoff team and stayed in the mix with overtime losses.

Still a fun season but people getting upset other teams being better is a weird flex.
