Stars look so underwhelming lately, especially in net. I'm taking Colorado in 6.

Should have been a conference final. Instead, it's round 1.
It's gonna be a helluva series. Likely goes 7. I have no idea who wins.
Don't let recency bias color this too much. Dallas is still a very deep and good team. Heiskenan being healthy will be a key factor

They need to change the playoff format.

I have the Avs in 5. Not a believer in the Stars this year. Colorado is too deep at center, including the best center in the game. Their defence is solid, including the best defencemen in the game today (and potentially arguably of all time) in his absolute prime. They switched-out both goalies and the two goalies they brought in have been great - they won a cup even with a poor goalie in the recent past. Oettinger will steal a game.

Johnston has played every game. Seguin is not the best player.

There's some chatter that Heiskanen might be back for the latter parts of the series. But it's not guaranteed.

lol this guy...in all your hatred and trash talk of the Stars lately you didn't realize they are missing Heiskanen
I picked the Avs too but I think it will be a series, especially if they get him back

After a previous goal was disallowed because they had seven men on the ice.

Stars in 7 or Avalanche in 5. This one is going to be a lot of fun to watch! I think it's awesome that we'll get to watch it in round 1, while both teams are still healthy. Hopefully Landeskog returns and doesn't look back.

This playoff format is just terrible. These two teams should not be facing each other in the first round.

In any and every playoff format, two great teams will play each other

Not in the first round. The Stars and the Avs are legit cup contenders and one of these teams is guaranteed not to make it to the 2nd round. Meanwhile we have a Kings vs Oilers 1st round matchup for the fourth year in a row. I fail to see what is good about this playoff format.
