Kings in 7. I see the Kings going far this year. If they manage to get past the Oilers I could see them going all the way to the Final the way Washington did once they finally beat Pittsburgh.

I woke up with a truly odd feeling. I suddenly felt a deep love and appreciation for Marcel Dionne, Luc Robitaille, Jonathan Quick, Anze Kopitar, and Drew Doughty. I felt an urge for overpriced avocado toast and oatmilk lattes. I called my doctor to get a prescription for Ozempic and to set up my Botox appointment. I drove one block to pick up my prescription at the pharmacy, even though my legs work perfectly fine.

I think...I just became an L.A. Kings fan. It's just the oddest thing. I can't explain why.

This won't be a breeze like last season but I don't see the Kings taking this more than six games. The Oilers will be in full embellishment mode to start the playoffs and will capitalize on cheap powerplays as they always do.

This might be the year LA beats the No goods. Although three straight playoff series loses doesn't really instill confidence. And each year it's been worse.

Ekholm out could be the x factor.

I don't understand why the NHL is sticking with this playoff format. We have a Kings vs Oilers first round series for the fourth year in a row. Despite this being an automatic pass into the 2nd round of the playoffs, even Oilers fans are tired of this 1st round matchup. Then you have the Avs facing the Stars which is terrible for the playoffs as it means that one of the top Cup contenders in the West is guaranteed to not make it into the 2nd round. So dumb.

This is a much deeper Kings team than previous years. Namely a healthy Doughty and borderline-Vezina candidate in Kuemper. Even a guy like Tanner Jeannot is useful during the playoffs.

Gonna get nasty after last night. Kings have to be disciplined in this series . I think they take it this year.

4th time is the charm. At least this time the Oilers are going into it broken.

Take them out LA, lets not start a repeat of last year.

Has there ever been a series where all of a team's goals were scored with a man advantage?

Did we learn nothing from last season? The earlier they're out, the better.
