Kings in 7. I see the Kings going far this year. If they manage to get past the Oilers I could see them going all the way to the Final the way Washington did once they finally beat Pittsburgh.

I woke up with a truly odd feeling. I suddenly felt a deep love and appreciation for Marcel Dionne, Luc Robitaille, Jonathan Quick, Anze Kopitar, and Drew Doughty. I don't understand why the NHL is sticking with this playoff format. We have a Kings vs Oilers first round series for the fourth year in a row. Despite this being an automatic pass into the 2nd round of the playoffs, even Oilers fans are tired of this 1st round matchup. Then you have the Avs facing the Stars which is terrible for the playoffs as it means that one of the top Cup contenders in the West is guaranteed to not make it into the 2nd round. So dumb.

This is a much deeper Kings team than previous years. Namely a healthy Doughty and borderline-Vezina candidate in Kuemper. Even a guy like Tanner Jeannot is useful during the playoffs.
