Yeah, this is more Flames than anything else described, lol. Holy ****, this guy put up generational numbers in junior, is motivated and creative offensively and ended up having a positive effect on our offense when inserted.

Made total sense to wait until we were toast to put him in because he could have caused a TURNOVER!!!!

Sure did. You didn't take the L and move on the other day so here we are.

Because having the ability to go 3-0-1 and get to 96 points (and having a shot at 97) vs needing to go 4-0-0 to get to 96 points... literally does change the math. Changes it in a pretty dramatic way.

It's kind of like being down 2-0 in a playoff series, on track to win game 3 but then losing it in heartbreaking fashion... and being like DON'T WORRY, THIS DOESN'T CHANGE THE MATH MUCH. WE NEEDED TO WIN 4 IN A ROW ANYWAY

And then lose the series in 4 or 5 and be like, see, I was right!! Our odds were bad either way!

Come on dino, can't you admit that the loss to Anaheim was costly? If you want to say I'm wrong about Wolf or some other stuff, fine, I can accept it. But don't say I'm wrong about this. The Flames could be in control of their destiny, but instead need a result from the Ducks or Golf Club to have a chance.

Omg you are still on this...I said it didnt change the math much because the math was already steep.

The lost point matters IF they tie in the end. Like any other lost point this season. For a "mathgod" you arent good at math. Its unlikely the Anaheim game is the difference because its unlikely they tie.

If they tie in the end yes that will be one of the lost points they look back on.

I'm guessing you are no good at poker. Or any game that involves understanding odds.

odds that the Flames tie the Blues and miss the playoffs are like 5%
Flames would need to win out, Blues would need a win in regulation

and even then it wouldn't matter if the Wild lost their game the Flames would be in

So if 5 results go that way the point would cost them a playoff spot...simples, can't deny it

If you are so sure it matters I will bet you $500 right now the lost point in Anaheim does NOT cost them a playoff spot...its possible but I like my odds

Except the whole "it only matters if they end up tied and lose the tiebreak" thing is a strawman.

It matters that the lost point dropped their chances from 19% to 10%. If they happen to land in the 80% of scenarios where the point doesn't make the difference, doesn't mean that the point wasn't important for their chances at the time.

Offer is open to you too, any amount you like

Truth is the chance the point matters is very low, he knows it but we always have to be dramatic about everything

I would be earning money in this case. I get better odds on CP than anywhere else because people say such ridiculous stuff.

The last guy that lost a bet to me, welched on it and never returned to CP again. (actually please bet me lol)

I guess the wheel of justice only works for some of the players, some of the time.

Forbort was in an extremely vulnerable position. It doesn’t make it okay to take advantage.

Hey Dino, it turns out that point was very costly when you said it won't going to matter, hey?

Last I checked the Flames are TWO points out of the playoffs..You are assuming they win their last game and taking some kinda wierd victory lap before its even happened.
I said the odds didn't change much and the point only mattered if a bunch of things happened and they ended up tied. Against all odds many of them have but this is premature, Kings have 5 home losses this season.

So if the Flames don't win the last game should I be bumping this to brag?
