Anybody know the best place to get ammo online? I swear I've looked everywhere, but I can't find 1 3/4" shotgun slugs. Grabbed some birdshot in that size shell, but I really want some slugs. Tons available in the USA, but I'm assuming you can't order from there.

G4c is usually a good bet. Surprisingly, Canadian Tire can be decent for shotgun ammo too

Checked out everywhere everyone mentioned and CT came through on some 1 3/4" buckshot, so thank you for the suggestion. Slugs seem impossible to find in that size, which is fine. Prior to going to Canadian Tire today, though, I could only find bird shot so I'm very happy.
I copied BlackArcher and got the Mossberg 590 Shockwave, which doesn't have a stock. It's basically the size of a pirate gun so I didn't want to shoot full sized shells out of it. These 1 3/4" buckshot shells should be perfect.

Don't worry. The probability of me blowing my own foot off is way higher than me stalking an Internet stranger haha.

I got my PAL a couple of months ago. Haven't purchased a firearm as of yet, but learning to shoot is higher on my priority list than it used to be.

Yeah it's definitely far from the first place I think of when it comes to buying, well, anything ever. But CT has surprised me

Don’t wait too long. If the libs get re-elected everything will be banned before you know it.

So I received a letter from the RCMP last week and apparently one of my previously legal rifles is now prohibited. It somehow managed to transform itself from a legal hunting rifle that's been in our family for 50+years to an assault style weapon all while sitting in my basement, not used in the past 20 years. Anyhow I now have one year to become 'compliant' whatever that means. Presumably since I no longer can sell the gun as it is now prohibited I have no choice but to surrender it?
I need to look but I'm assuming it is the clip that has now made the gun a prohibited firearm. If that is the case can I simply surrender the clip? Doubtful but worth asking, I really hate to have to surrender the rifle as it has a lot of sentimental value to me. Lot's of good memories hunting with my dad when I was a kid.

I don't think the rcmp knows you have a now prohibited rifle. I believe that letter went out to every licenced gun owner. Does it say you 'may' be in possession of a newly prohibited firearm? Not telling you what to do but most have filed the letter appropriately. But, if you choose to keep the rifle you will be breaking the law. Could always say it was lost in a tragic boating accident at the bottom of lake minnewanka.
Edit. Unless the gun was previously a restricted firearm, in which case they do know that you own it and you would have had to have a restricted pal to be able to legally possess it prior to it becoming prohibited.
