My social media feed has been full of past Masters content so I'm not really noticing a difference.
The PGA/LIV rivalry has essentially disappeared which did fuel some of the hype over the last couple of years. Now most of the LIV players are just disappearing from the conversation.

I don't know if the Liv guys are disappearing as CBS Sports has three of the top ten players coming from Liv.

He's done nothing in 2024 or 2025 to suggest that might be true.
The liv guys do disappear from consciousness for the 9th months after the Open to the Masters. Bryson could be a big story coming into this tournament too, but no one has a feel for the form he's in.

To be a top 5 golfer in the world wouldn’t you need to actually beat other players in competition?
Rahm is a great golfer as are several others playing for LIV. And several could end up contending.
But they are irrelevant except for when they compete in the majors. Other than Bryson, no one cares in the least about what they are doing.

So "top five player in the world" Jon Rahm is having a blast.

I guess the good news for Rory is he at least got to -4 before his implosion, so even par is workable.
Edit: Terrible tee shot on 18 so might be worse than even lol what a debacle.

15th was just ruthless today.
And seems like a bogey on 18 to finish off an amazing round is just a sure thing.

Lol you made a ridiculous comment, it's not trolling to point it out. He might be a top five talent in the game, but he is not a top five player at the moment. Also hard not to notice how miserable his body language and attitude was out there today, he has cash for generations to come but I suspect he deeply regrets joining the "Outrated by Dawson's Creek" league.

I will be the worse troll and point out that according to liv, the move has been great for Rahm!

How LIV Golf boosted Jon Rahm’s profile
Signing with LIV Golf cemented Jon Rahm’s status as one of the best sportsmen in the world.
Rahm savored his role as captain of Legion XIII. He and his LIV teammates finished second in the overall points table in 2024.
The team is named for the legion that fought for Julius Caesar and won fame for crossing the Rubicon with the Roman emperor in 49 AD.
The legion’s symbol was a lion, which explains the logo that appears on the team’s hat and other merchandise.
Rahm and his men are ready to roar again in 2025, while the skipper will also hope to add to his total of two major titles. He is also primed to represent the European team in the Ryder Cup, which will be held on the Bethpage Black course in Long Island, New York.

It does seem pretty apparent that Rahm and Brooks have at least some regret in going to liv.
It's hard to put much weight in liv results when I just don't buy that everyone is putting in full effort every week. I don't buy that Bryson is the 15th best player in liv, even though that's where he is in the standings. Sure, he'll show up and warm up properly and put in a solid effort on the course. But I'm sure he's putting his usual pre-tournament preparation ahead of most of the tournaments that aren't warm ups for majors.
The only way these guys can prove themselves is in the majors, and Rahm hasn't done much to make his case over the past year and a half.

Old man Langer making bogey on 18 to miss the cut in his final Masters is pretty brutal.

Bryson has the ability to turn it back on when he's in the majors, which is actually incredible.
The other guys, looks like they've been playing beer league and are suddenly in the playoffs and it's just not there.
Cam Smith is another guy that was trending to a top 5 in the world and is just an average guy in the field now, missing cuts at majors.
Rahm sadly seems to be heading that way too.

Dunlap improves by 19 strokes today. That's incredible.
Mcilroy is playing incredible golf. If he keeps it up, he wins this running away. But that's unlikely.

You're being kind with the bolded. They're really just out playing a round of golf, there's nothing at stake. Of course some of them are so talented you can't count them out of anything.

Through a series of fortunate events, I got to go to the Masters.
You simply can't describe what it's like. The marshals and officials aren't even around the greens/boxes keeping the crowd quiet when players address their ball, the crowd etiquette is impeccable. I could literally hear the sound of Couples' putter tap the ball on 18.
The course itself is the star of the show. More beautiful than on TV, insane amenities and more efficient movement of crowds than anything I've seen.
I've gone to a couple majors and NOTHING even comes close. It's like going to church outside for 11 hours.

They keep advertising 4k, featured pairing coverage all day on paramount plus but I don't see anything on there about masters..
Maybe only in the US?
